Happy Spring everyone! 🌸✨

We’re looking back at an incredible 2025 at the Prism Foundation. Because of your support, we were able to turn collective action into real-world impact for the LGBTQ+ API community. In 2025, we awarded $29,000 in scholarships to 13 phenomenal student scholars, and $29,800 in grant support to 8 powerhouse nonprofits and projects.

Together, we’re building a brighter, more inclusive future! 🏳️‍🌈

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Prism Foundation during Give In May! We raised $9,600 from 153 unique supporters. Roughly 80% of these donors had never given to Prism before 🤯. Because Prism Foundation is volunteer-run, nearly all of your donations go toward scholarships, grants, and events in support of API LGBTQIA+ students and orgs nationwide 🌈.

If you were too busy celebrating AAPI Heritage Month to donate in May, we get it. There’s another chance to give, or double your impact 💸! We are proud to announce the launch of the Marsha Aizumi Scholarship — a memorial scholarship supporting trans and nonbinary students who are uplifting and advancing the API LGBTQIA+ community. 🌈✨

Through her work with PFLAG San Gabriel Valley/API and Okaeri Community, Marsha Aizumi created spaces of love, visibility, and support for LGBTQIA+ API individuals and families. This scholarship will continue her legacy by empowering the next generation of students advocating for and strengthening the API LGBTQIA+ community. 💜

We’re proud to introduce the Christo Roma Scholarship — a new scholarship dedicated to uplifting trans and nonbinary Asian and Pacific Islander LGBTQIA+ students and emerging leaders. 💖💙

Christo Roma has been a powerful advocate for visibility, empowerment, and community through his leadership with GAPA and Broadway BARES SF. From championing self-expression and body positivity to supporting LGBTQIA+ and HIV/AIDS-related causes across the Bay Area, his impact continues to inspire so many.

Through this scholarship, Christo’s legacy of advocacy and service will continue by investing in the next generation of trans and nonbinary API leaders. 🌈✨
