and so a sun sets on this chapter. long nights, nitpicky rehearsals, loud dismissals, and spending 8 hours of my week with the people i love and care for have all slipped from my grasp in a day-in a single group of announcements. "be better than you were yesterday." that was our big goal of the year, and with weeks upon weeks of work, i can say that that goal was reached for everyone. this band has been the best thing that has ever happened to me, and it hurts my heart that my juniors and fellow seniors didn't get that big goal on the wall- "make area finals". we were just within reach, but it just wasn't in the cards for us this year (i mean, we didn't stand, dance, play, then march in silence so clearly we could've never made it🙄).
you all will never know how genuinely proud and happy you make me, and you will never truly know how much i love and appreciate you all. just know that this group has some of the most talented, interesting, determined people i have ever met in my life, and i love you all. never in my life have i been so blessed to be around people who share the same drive and enjoyment for/of a project. thank you for the memories that will never leave my mind.
xoxo, your drum major, chloe.
