ive been dreading this post for four years now, because it marks the end of a season I never want to end. if you’ve ever talked to me for five seconds, you know how much every single member of this program means to me. to everyone who has ever entered the band hall in my four years of being here, I hope you know that you ALL have made such a huge impact on my life and have allowed me to become the person I am today. this season has pushed me so much in so many different ways, but I am forever thankful for the memories and growth it has brought me. ending my high school career with the same show that made me fall in love with this art is truly a one of a kind experience and I am so grateful that I got to be a part of creating something that we can be proud of. our scores weren’t where they’ve been in the past, but never once have I ever not been proud to be a part of this program. whether we’re getting screamed at or getting knocked over by a flyover (I’m sorry, I had to mention it), I’ve never once not wanted to be in this program, surrounded by the people who mean more to me than I could ever explain.

to those who have already graduated, thank you for molding me into the person I am today. I genuinely would not be the same person I am today if I didn’t have each and every one of yall in my life, and I can’t express how grateful I am for the handprint you left on my life

to my fellow seniors, y’all are real ones tbh. we went from a good 60 or maybe 70 of us to like 9. you guys have taught me so much over the years and I’m forever thankful for the friendship I’ve found in each and every one of y’all.

to my beautiful underclassmen, please don’t quit. I know all of you have a reason to be here and deep down love this program as well. I’m so proud to have seen how y’all have grown over the years, and I can’t wait to see how you continue to grow in the future.

thank you for all of the memories, marching band, and thank you for being the bestest experience I’ve ever had. I love each and every one of you more than I could ever imagine, and I’ve adored being a member and leader of this program. thank you for allowing me to wave my arms around.
