🌿 Our Hippy Bowl, September edition

A fresh seasonal update to one of our lunchtime favourites at Probys Kitchen.

Quinoa, chickpeas, roasted cauliflower, pickled red onion, pomegranate, pumpkin seeds, fresh coriander and our homemade muhammara, topped with locally made Otofu tofu.

🌱 Vegan as standard, or add our free-range chicken breast if you fancy something extra.

Fresh, colourful, full of texture and plenty of flavour - what lunch should be!

September has arrived at Probys Kitchen 🍂

The seasons are beginning to shift, and so is the menu — bringing in deeper flavours, warmer dishes and the best of what’s around us right now.

Over the weekend, here are some dinner photos of what we served

Duck confit, butternut squash purée, sage, chilli maple & jus.

Fig, prosciutto, whipped ricotta.

Slow-roasted shoulder of lamb, cavolo nero, aioli, salsa verde & herb jus.

Seafood linguini with prawns, clams, mussels & peas in a lemon cream sauce.

Pan-fried halibut, marinara, fennel & red onion salad, rocket oil.

Cajun Prawns, house foccacia

A little taste of summer, before the season turns 🍑

There’s something special about moving into a new season - the menus change, the produce changes, and some favourites make way for what comes next.

This weekend sees the last of our Roast Peach French Toast - Roast peaches, french toast, shrikhand, bushberry strawberry coulis, praline icecream & toasted coconut.
A proper summer plate — sweet, creamy, fruity, nutty and just a little bit indulgent.

So if you’ve had your eye on it, this is your last weekend to catch it at Proby’s.

Then we turn the page and see what the next season brings. 🍂

Here’s how to find Probys Kitchen. 👣

We’re tucked beneath St Fin Barre’s Cathedral on Proby’s Quay, just a short walk from Cork city centre, and there are now two new pedestrian and cycle bridges have been making the journey even easier.

We’ve filmed both new routes, along with the walk from Grand Parade, so you can see exactly how to find us. Using the beautiful St Fin Barre’s Cathedral as your landmark.

One bridge connecting Proby’s Quay to South Main Street through the former Beamish and Crawford Brewery is called the Seamus Murphy Bridge, named after an acclaimed Cork sculptor Seamus Murphy

The other bridge connecting Wandesford Quay & Crosses Green Quay via Lambley’s Lane to South Main Street is called the Cumann na mBan Bridge, named after the War of Independence women’s organisation Cumann na mBan

The two new pedestrian bridges and lovely new footpaths make walking to Probys Kitchen even easier.

Visiting Cork or exploring the city centre? Stop by for seasonal food, good coffee, breakfast, lunch or dinner.

One of my go-to breakfast spots🍳✨

Summer is definitely here so we have added a new range of open sandwiches to our lunch menu!
Made to order, packed with flavour, and served on our delicious house focaccia bread

• Coronation Chicken - free range chicken, mango, yogurt, mayo, cashew, celery & scallions
• Prawn Salad - Tiger prawns, tomato salsa, orly sauce, pea shoots
• Caprese - heirloom tomatoes, burrata, basil pesto, fresh basil
