We've officially wrapped the roof!

Thank you @proclimaau for keeping the River House dry as a bone and thank you to Luke for feeding Andy lines about the benefits of the aforementioned membrane.

Bodin from @performancemembranesau recently joined our team on-site for hands-on training with @proclimaau ADHERO.

This isn’t a Passive House project. It’s an alfresco roof. But that’s exactly the point.

High-performance detailing shouldn’t be reserved for Passive House. We’re committed to raising the minimum standard across every project we build.

Thanks to Bodin and the Performance Membranes team for the ongoing support and knowledge.

Your Future. Built Better.

PROJECT PK by URHAUS 🔨✍🏽

We often share the detailed concepts or finished homes. This is the less glamorous side of the process.

Good construction isn’t just about what you see at handover. It’s about the decisions made behind the finishes.

PROJECT PK is a secondary dwelling delivered within a budget-conscious framework, yet we’ve remained committed to investing where it matters most.

The building envelope incorporates a high performance wall and roof membrane system utilising none other than the @proclimaau Solitex Extasana WRB system, which will be paired with the Pro Clima Mento+ roof membrane, followed by fully ventilated wall and roof cavities to support moisture management, durability and long-term building performance. Once we finish wrapping & taping, this home will be watertight before the roof or cladding goes on.

The structure itself is framed entirely in LVLs, providing a straighter, more consistent framework and helping achieve a higher level of accuracy throughout construction.

These details won’t be visible once construction is complete, but they play a critical role in how the home performs for decades to come.

We are excited to share more as we wrap it up!

BUILT DIFFERENT
Good builders deserve to be seen

SITE LOG #003

The hillside’s been shifted. Now the home’s taking shape.

Back at Macmasters Beach for a fresh look at GBM’s progress. The custom trusses from National Frame and Truss are a standout... shaping the raked ceiling over the kitchen and living area to give the space some serious height.

@proclimaau going into the building envelope, with building supplies coming from @kincumbermitre10, less than five minutes down the road.

Plenty still to come on this one... taken in Macmasters Beach, Central Coast, NSW by @proclimaau

Building knowledge starts with asking better questions.

For Ben, the pro clima Passive House Scholarship was an opportunity to take his understanding of building performance further, and look at homes through a more holistic lens.

From NatHERS and Passive House to the physics behind how a home performs, Ben shares what he learned and how it’s shaping his work at ARKATA.

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT | Boots N All, East Lindfield NSW

A challenging site. A smart design response. A certified Passivhaus.
Completed in 2025, Boots N All shows what’s possible when thoughtful architecture and high-performance construction work together.

Designed by Envirotecture, the home tackles a tricky north-to-street orientation with an adaptable screened courtyard connecting the home to its kitchen garden. A growing green roof further connects the home with its leafy East Lindfield setting.

Built using Carbonlite’s prefabricated Panelite system, the project is a great example of how the Passivhaus standard can respond to real-world site and planning constraints—while delivering exceptional comfort and performance.
And this November, you can experience it for yourself.

Boots N All is opening its doors for the 2026 International Passivhaus Open Days, 13–15 November.

Step inside. Ask questions. See what high-performance living actually feels like.

Is this Australia's best cladding product? 🇦🇺

After visiting the @weathertexaus factory in Newcastle, I reckon it's right up there.

From the sustainable manufacturing process to the quality of the products and the people behind them, I was seriously impressed.

It's great to see an Australian company setting such a high standard for our industry. 👊

Massive thanks to the @weathertexaus team for having me!
