🔥 Applications for the Programme Development Team are now open! 🔥

The Programme Development Team will lead the delivery of the IGNITE Programme Development Project, a major initiative to evolve and renew ONE Programme over the coming years.

IGNITE will ensure our programme remains cohesive, relevant, effective and inspiring, giving every young person the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive through Scouting. This work will strengthen and evolve our Programme, ensuring it continues to meet the needs of young people and supports high-quality Scouting experiences from the local to the global level.

Young people and adults from across Scouting Ireland will play a central role in this project, bringing fresh ideas, experience and passion to help shape the next chapter of our Programme.

If you’re Scout age or older and have skills or experience in any of the areas outlined, we’d love to see your application.

✨ Be part of the team that will shape the future of Scouting Ireland’s programme.

Dual Award Mentor Training
Join us for one of our online Dual Award Mentor Training sessions on 5th October or 3rd November.
Each session begins at 6:45 pm and runs for approximately 3 hours.

Completing this training will qualify you to mentor young people working towards the Scout, Venture, and Rover Chief Scout Awards.

The Chief Scout Award is Scouting Ireland’s highest youth achievement and recognises a young person’s commitment, leadership, personal development, and service to others. Working towards the award encourages members to challenge themselves, develop valuable life skills, and build confidence and resilience, while making a positive contribution to their community.
The experience helps prepare young people for future education, employment, and active citizenship, while celebrating the values and spirit of Scouting.

Yesterday, two of our youth reps, Fionn and Zoe got the amazing opportunity to attend the EU Presidency Opening Event.

“Attending the EU Presidency Opening Event was such an incredible honour. 🇪🇺

From finding out we had front-row seats to hearing inspiring speeches from Taoiseach Micheál Martin, President António Costa, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Simon Harris, Helen McEntee, and Thomas Byrne, it was a truly unforgettable experience.

The cultural performances were absolutely spectacular, showcasing the very best of Irish music, dance, and storytelling. It was also a fantastic opportunity to meet and chat with so many inspiring young people, as well as Ministers and public representatives.

A huge thank you to Mary Clare for her wonderful hospitality, Eoin Callanan for making this opportunity possible, Emily Denner for facilitating us on the day and my fellow Youth Rep Fionn for helping calm my nerves throughout the day.

Wishing Ireland every success during its Presidency of the Council of the European Union! 🇮🇪🇪🇺” - Zoe by @programme.si
