This year, we supported 11 Gardens for Good Causes at @the_rhs Chelsea Flower Show, as well as our very own feature garden - The Project Giving Back Garden. 💚 Follow us to see the journey from the build to show week, and then to their forever homes once they have been relocated.

Back in 2024, @ulamariastudio designed the Muscular Dystrophy UK Forest Bathing Garden for @musculardystrophyuk, demonstrating how an immersive, yet accessible garden can offer a place of refuge to patients, their families, and clinicians at the time of diagnosis and beyond. The design of the garden is inspired by the ancient Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, which means bathing in the forest atmosphere and reconnecting with nature through our senses.

Since @the_ RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the garden has been relocated to The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow. The hospice provides care and support for people who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition, including patients living with muscular dystrophy, providing a unique outdoor space for patients, their families, and the local community to experience the many benefits of an immersive woodland garden to physical and mental health and wellbeing.

The Relocated Hospitalfield Arts Garden 💚

Dedicated to contemporary art and ideas, @hospitalfield supports artists in their working lives through its renowned artist residency programmes, and champions the importance of arts, and of the teaching and learning of the arts, inspiring and nurturing the creative health of young people.

The Hospitalfield Arts Garden draws inspiration from its location on Scotland’s east coast, with its striking yet delicate sand dune landscape. Designed by @nigel.dunnett, the space serves as an outdoor arts studio and workspace. It provides a versatile setting for art practice, exhibitions, teaching, and performances, all deeply connected to the natural environment.

Since RHS Chelsea, the garden has been relocated to Ladyloan Primary School in Arbroath, a newly built school close to Hospitalfield that forms part of Angus Council’s strategic investment into primary education in the region. The school is situated almost on the beach in Arbroath and the relocated garden will be adapted to create a stimulating space for children and teachers to enjoy.

This week the wonderful Kate Griffiths is leaving @hilliertrees to go onto pastures new. She was the account manager working with designers and private projects. (We’re giggling at some point in this clip!)
Kate worked with me on the RHS Peat Free Garden July 2024. By the November of that year we were out in the field selecting and having trees lifted in 2025 for the @parkinsonsuk @the_rhs show garden in 2026. Always smiling, nothing too much trouble and fantastic knowledge of trees 🌳

Hillier is a UK field grown, peat tree nursery supplying trees all over the British Isles. Their reputation is exemplary and still run by the Hillier family. It was a wonderful when the King came on the garden and took a particular interest in the Magnolia kobus Hiller supplied. And also Robert & George Hillier ex and new chairman’s of the company who were thrilled to see their work on main avenue. They have been supplying the RHS Chelsea Flower show for many years.

They were key sponsors helping us with trees, hedges, perennials and transport to the show and for the relocation.

Thanks again @jameshilliertrees and to all the team. I look forward to working with you on future projects!! 🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳

The Seawilding Garden, displayed at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025, is thriving in its forever home.

Designed by @musalandscape, the garden and its planting is inspired by the landscape of Loch Craignish on Scotland’s west coast, home to the @Seawilding project. The rugged coastline is part of a rich marine environment where Seawilding is focusing on the reintroduction of two keystone species - seagrass (Zostera marina) and native oysters (Ostrea edulis).

Since the show, the garden has been relocated back to Craignish and is maintained by local volunteers. The majority of the garden now lives in the middle of the village of Ardfern, behind the primary school, which is called ‘Talamn An Righ’ (The King’s Playground) - a green space with a roundhouse that is used for community events. The remainder has been dispersed around the peninsula with the sculpture incorporated into a sculpture trail at Lunga.

Back in 2023, PGB proudly funded the @talithaarts Garden at @the_rhs Chelsea Flower Show. A celebration of the creative arts and their therapeutic power to restore lives, the garden illustrates the sanctuary that Talitha Arts provides, and the transformational power of their creative workshops.

Since the show, the garden has been repurposed to St. Margaret’s House in Bethnal Green - a centre for arts and wellbeing opportunities, working with communities and charities to come together to promote positive social change. Talitha Arts base many of their activities in this venue, and have continued to use the Chelsea garden for outreach, performance and fundraising. The garden is located in the grounds of the cafe - open to the community, providing a space for residents to eat, shop, learn, create, and enjoy a diverse cultural program.

I have felt particularly proud to be a Trustee of Project Giving Back this week as the team completed the Three Peaks Challenge for Trussell , the UK’s foodbank and anti-poverty charity. The team sent us photo updates along the way and despite some very inclement weather, meaning they were not rewarded with the promised views, they climbed the UK’s three highest peaks, one after the other, and somehow managed to keep smiling!

They have a target of £10,000 and are so nearly there. If you’re able to sponsor them and help get them over the line, the donation link is in my bio. Thank you.

Despite the tough conditions, team PGB have just finished climbing the third and final mountain in the Three Peaks Challenge. 💪

We undertook the challenge to raise money for @trusselluk and the vital work the anti-poverty charity does to support people facing food insecurity across the UK.

If you feel called to donate to this incredible cause but have not yet done so, please head to the link in our bio whilst you still can! We are grateful for every single donation, no matter how big or small. 🌿

The Relocated Wildlife Trusts’ British Rainforest Garden 💚

Last year at RHS Chelsea, we had the joy of supporting @thewildlifetrusts British Rainforest Garden, designed by @zoe_claymore to raise awareness of the British Rainforest Restoration Programme; a first-of-its kind collaboration between The Wildlife Trusts and long-standing supporter Aviva who together have a 100-year ambition to bring British rainforests back to the western edge of the UK.

Since the show, the garden has been relocated to Bristol Zoo Project, and can be found in the zoo’s Sanctuary Garden just opposite the old herbaceous border from Bristol Zoo Gardens.
