Happy International Day of the Girl Child! 💜

Every day 300+ children walk into our Project Elimu Center in Kibera. For the girls, that means:

-Smile Bank: Supposing our girls through mentorship and menstrual health support. Thank you @kulczykfoundation for making this possible.
-Nutrition: breakfats and lunch so they can focus, dance and learn.
-Sports: Skating that builds strength and teamwork. Thank you @skateistan for supporting our girls.
-Education support: Catch-up help that keeps them in school and moving forward.

Before they can learn, play and grow, they need to eat.

At Project Elimu, a meal is often where the day begins, giving children the energy to show up, participate and simply be children.

We're grateful to @kulczykfoundation
for supporting our food program and helping make these moments possible.

A little throwback to 2017

Our founder, Mike Wamaya, was a top ten finalist for the prize that year.

Now, the 2027 Global Teacher Prize is open for applications and nominations. Know an educator doing meaningful work? This could be their moment.

Every day, children walk through our doors with the chance to create, move, belong and grow. Your support makes days like this possible.

This July 15th, on GlobalGiving July Bonus Day, we invite all of you to help us welcome even more children for three weeks of free dance classes in August when schools close.

Donate through our Kibera Ballet School on GlobalGiving where eligible gifts received a share of matching funds.
