Project PIF fam <3 Just wanted to take a moment to express how grateful I am for every single person who has ever volunteered to serve meals, shared our initiatives on social media, and/or donated to our donation drives. Project Pay It Forward started 10 years ago, right around this time, actually. Our very first event was a sock drive I put together after reading an article that said socks were the most requested but least donated item at homeless shelters. In true Sofi fashion, I combined two things I loved: helping people and watching football. I coordinated watch parties at local bars where people could drop off socks to be donated to the Los Angeles Mission. That first year, we might have collected 75 pairs. By the time we held our last sock drive, we had collected over 6,000 pairs. I say all that to say: Project Pay It Forward started off as a group of friends who just wanted to make a small difference in their community. Fast forward 10 years later, and we’ve grown into a small but impactful group whose mission is to help fill in the gaps where they’re needed most. I’m posting this screenshot from this morning’s conversation because it was a gentle reminder that while I may be at the forefront of these initiatives, it’s only through the generosity and collaboration of like-minded people that we are able to do such good for our commUNITY. Remember, we are all pieces of the puzzle when it comes to making a difference in this world. I can’t do what I do without you. Thank you for you, Sofi ♥️ #wetakecareofus #nonprofit #payitforward by @projectpifla
With the recent catastrophic Category 5 hurricane that devastated my beautiful island of Jamaica, I’ve spent the past week organizing and figuring out how to bring relief to loved ones back home who are going through an unimaginable time. I’ve partnered with two of my best friends @michelalexis & @annacarena_ and a wonderful organization @projectpifla I’ve worked with before to help support families and friends in need. We’ve created an Amazon Wish List with essential items for those affected, along with donation links via Cash App and Venmo, all linked in Project Pay It Forward’s bio. @projectpifla We’re simply doing what we can, each of us a small piece of the puzzle coming together to bring hope, comfort, and care to our island. 🇯🇲 by @projectpifla

Special Delivery 🏥 Dropped off over 3,000 Band-Aids to Northridge Hospital Pediatric Medical Center on Tuesday Thank You to everyone who donated 🙏🏽 our last Band-Aid Drive supplied Band-Aids for FIVE years, let’s see how long these last ♥️ #donationdrive #northridge #bandaids #projectpayitforward by @projectpifla
After reflecting on how best to support those in need, I tried to imagine what it must feel like to lose everything, including a home. Donation centers are overflowing with contributions, but what happens when those in need can’t access them or don’t have the means to get there? I’d love to sponsor families or individuals who have lost their homes and take some of the burden off their shoulders by helping with tasks we can handle for them. Many people have reached out, eager to volunteer their time, and I believe we can make a real impact together. If we can compile a list of individuals or families to “sponsor,” we can create meaningful volunteer opportunities for everyone asking how to help. If you work at a hotel currently housing those affected by the fires or know someone personally who could use this kind of support, please reach out to me. While these tragic events have deeply impacted our city, it’s been inspiring to witness the outpouring of kindness and community. Together, we can make a difference. I love you, LA. ♥️ #losangeles #eatonfires #palisadesfire #neighborshelpingneighbors #community #losangelesfire #altadena #wetakecareofus #ifnotusthenwho #projectpayitforward by @projectpifla
Happy Giving Tuesday to all who celebrate! Our Faithful Give Back initiative is back for another season of generosity 🙏🏽. This December, we’re raising funds & collecting items to support the amazing work of the San Jose Family Shelter—the only shelter in Santa Clara County serving single- and two-parent families experiencing homelessness. As the @49ers NFL Fan of The Year nominee I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to use this platform to highlight the important work being done at the @sjfamilyshelter ☝🏽How You Can Help: - Donate Items: Check out our Amazon Wishlist (link in bio). - Monetary Support: Donate via Venmo or CashApp to help us buy diapers, pull-ups, and snacks for school lunches in bulk. - Share with friends & repost to your social media. I can’t stress enough how much it truly takes ALL of us 🙏🏽 Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. Let’s come together and make this season brighter for those in need! • • • #givingtuesday #giveback #donationdrive #latothebay #nfl #fanoftheyear #49ers #nflnetwork #espn #sanjosefamilyshelter #familysupportivehousing #endhomelessness #helpthehomeless #california #santaclaracounty by @projectpifla
Last Friday I had the privilege of speaking in front of the students, staff, and parents at Sierra Canyon Lower Campus. I spoke to them about homelessness & how together, with small acts of kindness we can be a part of helping make the world a better place. My heart overflowed with joy as I watched the children assemble over 🤩 200 🤩 hygiene kits for the homeless community & those transitioning out of homelessness. Thank you to the @sierracanyonbsu for your demonstration of leadership and support. @sierracanyonschool & @parentsofblackstudents for including us in such a great event. And last but certainly not least all students that lended us their helping hands to assemble these hygiene kits. Remember to always choose kindness 💛 #donationdrive #communityeffort #collaboration #helpthehomeless #humankindness #kidsarethefuture by @projectpifla
