The beautiful and hospitable people of Kashmir #travelphotography #kashmir #photography by @promilabahri

It means a lot to see Gods Were Here being received so warmly by the media. I’ve poured my heart into this journey , and seeing it reach people , feels truly special.

Deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of it — this wouldn’t have been possible without your support. Also thank you family and friends who travelled long distances, battled traffic, braved the crowd at Lal Quila - just to see my work - you have my heart 🙏

I have throughly enjoyed every part of this project - the BTS , the actual shoot days , creating an interesting body of work capturing the before , during and after of people interacting with my art in public space . There’s so much more , I Can’t wait to share with you all . Stay tuned - picture abhi baaki hai 😊

FRIDA KAHLO in the Valley

Somewhere in Kashmir , I met a face that instantly reminded me of Frida Kahlo.
Those unmistakeable eyebrows , that gaze, those clips in her hair - for a moment it felt as though Frida had found her way into the valley.

She was so beautiful .

GODS WERE HERE — SINDOOR KHELA

Beyond the divine , into the life that remains. The spectacle ends, but the story doesn’t. What we leave behind is also part of the celebration.

Farm to Table, Kashmir.

I went to a village in Kashmir to shoot for my next project, and came away with something more than photographs.

As always, the warmth of Kashmiri hospitality stayed with me. In a joint family home, the bahu lovingly served us haak saag, steamed rice and aloo and we hogged as we were very hungry. The food was delicious and so authentic. After the meal, she showed us the very patch where the vegetables were grown.

From the earth to their kitchen — farm to table, in its most beautiful, pure and heartfelt form.

NOT AI - Pages of Devotion

The pages may age, the performances may end, the painted faces may disappear. But the stories remain, changing with us, finding new meaning in every generation.
