🔥 PART 2 OF HOW WE ALMOST GOT SCAMMED 🔥 Scams can be quite easy to spot, but it seems like these guys were very seasoned at it. They had changed the email address to more closely resemble a real businesses, had stolen the official logo from the convention, gathered all the information they needed from the conventions website and even set up a Google Form sheet to look as professional as possible. #prosperitystudios #scammers #indieanimation by @prosperitystudios_

✨ PART 2 UP IN A FEW MINUTES ✨ Unfortunately this is a part of making not just an indie business, but ANY business. Nefarious individuals will see how hard you’re working and will try to take advantage of it, using any opportunity to trick you out of what you worked so hard for. If not for God’s grace this could have been disastrous as a brand new business, but luckily there were still certain things the scammers did that set off red flags. Despite it being incredibly embarrassing and hard for us to admit, we’re sharing this because we know we have fans that are watching our journey to see how they can do this themselves. We felt it wouldn’t be right to only share the highs without the lows, because in reality owning a business comes with all of that. This is a wonderful career. You will meet a lot of great people and discover new things, but the path to success is NEVER without risk. Teaching yourself how to mitigate that and be mindful is the key. #prosperitystudios #scammers #conventionscam by @prosperitystudios_
