I share principles of the American Constitution, freedom, family and faith. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Hi there! It's about time I introduced myself on here!

My name is Megan. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 15 years and have 4 fantastic children. I am incredibly grateful for my family!

I started this page because I felt the urgency of sharing Gospel principles on social media.

It has been heartbreaking to watch values I hold so dear get twisted and disregarded by the world, and I don't believe I was put here to stand by and watch.

As I have strived to apply the principles of the gospel, and the Family Proclamation, my family and I have experienced peace and joy, even while facing difficulties, and wish for others to experience that, as well.

I am so grateful for the Constitution of the United States and the freedoms America has blessed me and my family with. It is my hope that my children and future grandchildren will know what it means to live in a free America.

I am grateful for those of you who have reached out with love, friendship, and encouragement. 🤗

Thank you truth seekers and protectors of freedom, faith, and family! Glad you're here!

Much love ,

"Let me clarify a distinguishing characteristic about your identity. You are the children whom God chose to be part of this battalion during this great climax in the longstanding battle between good and evil--between truth and error. I would not be surprised if, when the veil is lifted in the next life, we learn that you actually plead with our Heavenly Father to be reserved for now.

I would not be surprised to learn that premortally you loved the Lord so much that you promised to defend His name and gospel during this world's tumultuous winding-up scenes."

President Russell M. Nelson, BYU Devotional, Sept. 2019

Quentin L. Cook: "Freedom and light have never been easy to attain or maintain. Since the War in Heaven, the forces of evil have used every means possible to destroy agency and extinguish light. The assault on moral principles and religious freedom has never been stronger.

As Latter-day Saints, we need to do our best to preserve light and protect our families and communities from this assault on morality and religious freedom."

Save this. Send it to the person in your life who thinks Washington was just a general with a wooden-teeth myth attached to him. He was the one founder with the power to become a king, and he chose character over control instead.

Six in 10 Americans (59%) say they read at least one book in 2025, a new YouGov survey finds.

Besides the 40% of Americans who didn't read any books in 2025, another 27% read one to four books. And 13% read five to nine books. That leaves 19% of Americans who read 10 or more books, including 9% who read 10 to 19 books, 6% who read 20 to 49 books, and 4% who say they read 50 or more books.

A British soldier shot James Caldwell’s wife dead in her own doorway. Three weeks later he was back on the line, handing soldiers hymnals to load their muskets with — “Give ‘em Watts, boys!”

Liberty was never inherited. It was paid for in installments by people who refused to sit the fight out.

Save this. Send it to the guy at work who thinks church and country have nothing to do with each other.

Neal A. Maxwell: "Your discipleship may see the time come when religious convictions are heavily discounted. M. J. Sobran also observed, “A religious conviction is now a second-class conviction, expected to step deferentially to the back of the secular bus, and not to get uppity about it” (Human Life Review, Summer 1978, p. 58). This new irreligious imperialism seeks to disallow certain of people’s opinions simply because those opinions grow out of religious convictions. Resistance to abortion will soon be seen as primitive. Concern over the institution of the family will be viewed as untrendy and unenlightened.

In its mildest form, irreligion will merely be condescending toward those who hold to traditional Judeo-Christian values. In its more harsh forms, as is always the case with those whose dogmatism is blinding, the secular church will do what it can to reduce the influence of those who still worry over standards such as those in the Ten Commandments. It is always such an easy step from dogmatism to unfair play—especially so when the dogmatists believe themselves to be dealing with primitive people who do not know what is best for them. It is the secular bureaucrat’s burden, you see."

For us as Latter-day Saints, the story of Christopher Columbus does not begin with his birth in 1451, nor does it end with his death in 1506. Because we believe that each of us lived as a spirit child of our Heavenly Father in a premortal state before coming to earth, we believe that Columbus, too, lived before his mortal life. And because we believe that life continues after death, we believe he is now in the Spirit World, awaiting the Resurrection alongside millions of other spirits who have passed from this life.

But our connection to Columbus extends beyond our belief in his premortal existence and his continued life in the Spirit World. We believe he was an instrument in the Lord’s hands, called to discover the Americas for the Europeans. This discovery, in turn, helped pave the way for the Founding Fathers to establish the United States of America. The freedoms secured by that nation made possible the Restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ to the earth. And there is more to this story.

We also know that President Wilford Woodruff, while serving as president of the St. George Temple, was visited by the spirits of several great men who requested that he perform vicarious baptisms for them in the temple.

As President Ezra Taft Benson presided over the Church in 1992, the 500th anniversary of Columbus’ epic voyage, it seems appropriate to quote his appraisal of the man and the other “eminent men” whose temple ordinances were performed by President Woodruff:

"The temple work for the fifty-six signers of the Declaration of Independence and other founding fathers has been done. All these appeared to Wilford Woodruff when he was President of the St. George Temple. President George Washington was ordained a High Priest at that time. You will also be interested to know that according to Wilford Woodruff’s journal, John Wesley, Benjamin Franklin, and Christopher Columbus were also ordained High Priests at the time. "When one casts doubt upon the character of these noble sons of God, I believe he or she will have to answer to the God of heaven for it."

Happy Columbus Day!

Gordon B. Hinckley: " I have no doubt that Christopher Columbus was a man of faith, as well as a man of indomitable determination.

Admiral Samuel Eliot Morison, his biographer, says, “This night of October 11–12 [1492] was one big with destiny for the human race, the most momentous ever experienced aboard any ship in any sea” (Admiral of the Ocean Sea: A Life of Christopher Columbus [Boston: Little, Brown and Co., 1942], p. 223).

In my private commemoration of this event, I have read and reread one important and prophetic verse from the Book of Mormon and also a very long biography of Christopher Columbus.

That verse from Nephi’s vision states, “And I looked and beheld a man among the Gentiles, who was separated from the seed of my brethren by the many waters; and I beheld the Spirit of God, that it came down and wrought upon the man; and he went forth upon the many waters, even unto the seed of my brethren, who were in the promised land” (1 Ne. 13:12).

We interpret that to refer to Columbus. It is interesting to note that the Spirit of God wrought upon him."

I've been reading Mikhail Kulakov's book, "Though the Heavens Fall," where he describes how the Communist Soviet government had taken away his job, his family, and even his freedom simply because he was a faithful Christian, which, according to the KGB, was considered to be "anti-Soviet activities." He was imprisoned, interrogated, and sentenced to 5 years in a corrective labor camp. Through it all, his faith and reliance in God never wavered.

There are countless stories similar to his around the world, and I fear that as Americans, we have grown so accustomed to the shelter of our freedoms that we scarcely comprehend how fragile they truly are. Current events worldwide may indicate that the safety net is being torn away and fierce persecutions await us in the near future.

I often wonder: If the Lord called me to leave behind my comforts, my possessions, and everything familiar, would I have the faith to go? Would I follow Lehi into the wilderness, trusting His promises over the security of home? Or would my heart, like Lot’s wife, linger over all I had left behind?

It is my prayer that these challenges won't arrive at our doorstep any time soon, but we should be prepared to do God's will, whatever the call may be; even if it requires persecution.
