From a business where every scent tells a story ~ here’s a story about the girl behind the business 💁🏼‍♀️✨

I was born Cassandra, but very rarely get called that. It’s usually Cass or Cassie… and most of the time these days it’s just mum.

I’m a girl in my 30’s navigating parenthood, marriage and life, all while running this business that I love so much.

I’m a proud girl mum to our IVF miracle, Stella, who recently turned 6. She’s truly my favourite person in the whole world and the reason behind so much of what I do 🤍

I’ve been running this business for 4.5 years, and everything behind the scenes is done by me. Emails, DMs, pouring candles, packing orders, printing labels and late night admin - it’s a one woman show. And while it can be hard, I love that you know exactly who is BTS when you place an order, who it is that remembers your names and reads your order notes 🤗

I’m also a proud iced coffee addict (or just coffee in general really) - but hey, there are worse addictions right? ☕️

I’m a FIFO wife, and this year my husband Karl and I celebrate 19 years together and 10 years of marriage. He’s my best friend and biggest supporter through all of life’s highs and lows. He is the first person I want to tell any news too and he also celebrates every order with me 🥲

I’m a lover of all things pink, girly things (bows included!) and of course Taylor Swift. And yes, I’m still devastated I missed out on Era’s Tour tickets 🫶🏼

At the end of the day you’ll usually find me winding down with an English Breakfast tea, binge watching a show or reading my Kindle. The quiet of the house when no one needs me for a couple of hours is how I can regulate and just be Cassie.

I’m definitely a homebody, but I also love adventure, spending weekends exploring WA or going on holidays with my little family is very special.

Some days I doubt myself and this business… but most of the time I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve built. Seeing my products in your homes and reading your messages will never get old. It truly means the world to me 🥹

Today is no different to any day for me, I find myself thinking of you while doing mundane tasks everyday. I imagine what you would look like and if you would have had your dad’s green eyes.

But the most heartbreaking part I grieve, is that Stella will never get to be your big sister, never get to play with you, teach you and grow with you. She would have been the best big sister and she would have loved you unconditionally.

Because it’s so true. When you buy from a small business, you’re not just buying a product. You’re buying something that someone has poured so much love, time and intention into, while also supporting their dream✨

Maybe it puts food on their table for the week. Maybe it helps keep them home with their kids. Maybe it gives them a passion and purpose outside of their 9-5.

There are so many different reasons behind every small business, but every single one is a reason to show them some love 🫶🏻

And I think I can speak for so many small business owners when I say that every time we receive an order, we feel an overwhelming amount of appreciation and gratitude.

Because behind every order is someone who chose us. And that will never stop meaning something 🥰

After all the love, support and incredibly kind comments on my last post about the real-life struggles of running a business while being a mum and a FIFO wife, it really made me stop and reflect.

Because amongst the hard days, the overwhelm, the juggling and the moments where I question whether I can keep doing it all… there is actually so much good.

So I wanted to take a moment to talk about the things I’m grateful for. The little wins, the unexpected moments, the things I’ve built and the reasons I keep showing up, even on the days when it feels really bloody hard 🤍

And one of the main reasons I keep showing up, is YOU! Everyone who orders and supports my business especially in this online space. My online community are my biggest supporters and I’m just so grateful 🥲
