BATTLE OF THE BIBS 🏃 🏃‍♀️

Design a bib. Make an impact.

@lmcfoundation and PRSSA are teaming up to to bring a bib design competition to campus! The Lauren McCluskey Foundation is hosting their annual 5K on October 31st and wants your help. Bring your creativity to the competition and have the chance to have your work showcased on racers (as well as win some money ;))!

Not designing? That’s okay! Still sign up to participate in the 5K and show your support. Sign up using our special link to get the exclusive winning bib!

LAGOON SITE VISIT 🎡🎢🎠

We have an exciting PRSSA site visit coming up on Wednesday, October 28th, and sign-ups are now open! We’ll be joining the BYU and USU PRSSA chapters for a visit to Lagoon from 1-4 p.m. 🎢

We’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at Lagoon, hear from professionals in marketing and operations, enjoy a meal at the Biergarten, ride a rollercoaster, and get a swag bag! There is no cost besides getting to Lagoon (carpool option available). There will also be a great opportunity to network with PRSSA members from other Utah universities and make new connections.

There are a very limited amount of spots and they’ll fill up fast, so clear your calendars now and sign up ASAP! Link is in our bio!

Department of Communication students recently visited the @kslnews Broadcast House for a behind-the-scenes look at the newsroom, sets, studios, control room, and more!

Organized by the U's chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), with support from adjunct professor Amanda Dickson, the visit gave students interested in communication and public relations an opportunity to explore the industry firsthand.

A special shoutout to KSL's Emily Ashmead for sharing insights into the industry!

We’ll get to tour the KSL offices and hear from KSL professionals about their careers and experiences in the industry, plus have the opportunity to ask questions!

am Meghan McKasy and I am the PRSSA faculty advisor. This is my second year at the U as an Associate Professor, Lecturer of Communications.

I am so excited to see what this year’s PRSSA board will accomplish! They are incredibly motivated and full of great ideas for the coming school year. I know that we will have wonderful speakers, networking opportunities, and site visits. I would encourage students to get involved so that they don’t miss out!

My name is Evelyn Hinckley and l am a Junior from Dallas, Texas. I am majoring in Strategic Communications with a minor in Linguistics. I also studied abroad in South Korea.

I love jellyfish and I can solve a Rubik’s cube in 1 minute and 6 seconds!
