SO much rain this weekend. Yesterday’s game was washed out and replaced by a trip to Dave & Buster’s, but the @prepbaseballvadc DC Fall Championship still gave the team a chance to get some much-needed game experience—and, even better, welcome back two guys after LONG injury layoffs: @gman.2341 after 11 months and @noahkim2029 after 4 months. The Cadets 16U are your 2026 @xposure_sports Charm City Classic Champions! 🏆

@lukas.bope_ earned MVP honors after a dominant start on the mound—13 outs, just 2 hits, and zero runs allowed over 4⅓ innings—then drove in the second of the Cadets’ two runs in a hard-fought 2–1 championship victory over Titus Academy 2028/29.

So many moods in just 19 minutes, 6:15–6:34 a.m. It started peacefully with clear skies and a crescent moon, then angry red clouds rolled in from the south. And almost as quickly as they arrived, they were gone—replaced by a bright yellow sunrise that washed away nearly all evidence of the drama just minutes before. taken in Stone Harbor, New Jersey by @pserfass

Baseball season is back! This weekend was a friendly between mostly @sjcbaseball sophomores (white) and freshmen (black). It turned out the way you’d think it would but not without the new class bringing plenty of hustle and some swimming around the tags while we got buzzed by the airshow spilling out of Joint Base Andrews. The @indycar #Freedom250.

Maybe it was the perfect weather.

Maybe it was finally getting to enjoy what all those weeks of insanely annoying disruptions and road closures were for.

Maybe it was showing up without tickets—and, the night before, randomly meeting Kevin and Christy, whose sons couldn’t come, and who gave us their extras.

Maybe it was because @danielwale1 and the @steinbrennerracing team have turned us into fervent IndyCar fans.

Maybe it was the SEVEN flyovers that made the whole thing feel like an airshow and a race rolled into one.

Maybe it was because, regardless of politics, one-time events in DC have a way of feeling historic—and making you grateful you were there to witness them.

Maybe it was because everyone we met all day was just so darn friendly and happy to be there.

Or maybe it was all of it.

120 minutes from Jacksonville to DC…

Flights were disrupted all over the Eastern Seaboard after a day of storms, but somehow we threaded the needle.

What followed was basically a two-hour sunset cruise on @united—slaloming between towering clouds while the sky went from gold to orange to red to blue.

And give flight attendant Daria a raise. She somehow kept servicing the cabin while being told to jump back into her jump seat every couple of minutes as we bounced our way north.
