Page Turners, have we got a treat for you this month! For the October improvised book club stream, Anna & Azaria will be joined by guest author RJ Sook! He is the acclaimed author of such titles as “90 seconds till Detonation”, “Gun & Tonic” and the famous “Puncher” series. Join us to listen in on the review of his latest book and help us fill in the blanks with answers to these suggestions!
- Book Title
- Main Character Name
- Antagonist Name
- Location
- Elaborate description of a physicality
We'll take your suggestions, and RJ Sook will select some of them during the stream. So make sure you tune in on Tuesday, Oct. 27th at 7 pm EST on twitch.tv/pslcomedy to see if your suggestion gets used in the book!

Our Sweet 16 weekend may have ended, but we’re still riding the high! (While simultaneously still recovering from staying up past midnight three nights in a row because we're all in our 30s/40s now and our backs hurt)

Thank you to every single person who came out, laughed with us, cheered us on, and helped us celebrate 16 years of being Pineapple-Shaped Lamps. We had an incredible audience all weekend, and getting to perform some of our favorite sketches for you again was more fun than we could have hoped for.

More than anything, we just loved getting the gang back together again.

Friends came from near and far to be part of this weekend, and from the moment we were all together again, it felt like we hadn’t missed a beat. There’s something pretty amazing about realizing that after 16 years, through all the ways our lives have changed, we can still come back together and pick up right where we left off.

So thank you to our alumni who came home, to everyone who worked on the show, and to the wonderful staff at Thalian Hall. And most of all, thank you to everyone who has watched, supported, performed with, volunteered for, or been part of PSL at any point over these last 16 years. This weekend reminded us just how lucky we are to still be doing this.

And thankfully, you don't have to wait very long to see us on stage again!
🎃 Three performances of The Rocky Horror Picture Show are coming in October
🦃 Then we're headed back to Thalian Hall in November with another sketch show: T. Hanksgiving!

Sweet 16 is in the books, thanks for making it one we’ll never forget!

Page Turners, come celebrate Anna & Azaria's birthday month by reading "A Wrinkle in Time" by Madeline L'Engle and then chatting with us about the book. We decided to read a throwback to when we had to read certain books at school, and this was one we wanted to revisit. Mainly so we can try to understand it this time. Join us in reading this award winning science fiction novel and hop into the stream on Tuesday, September 29th at 7 pm EST to tell us Happy Birthday and to share your thoughts on the book. We'll see you at the last page!

Sixteen years ago today, we put on our very first sketch show.

We didn’t know exactly where it would lead, we just knew we wanted to make something together. Sixteen years and countless sketches, characters, costumes, rehearsals, late nights, and wonderfully silly ideas later…we’re still here.

Thank you to every performer, writer, technician, venue, and audience member who has been part of the ride.

There’s only one appropriate way to celebrate such an occasion...PSL's Sweet 16 Anniversary Show!

September 4-6, 2026 at the Ruth and Bucky Stein Theatre at Thalian Hall. Get your tickets today! (Link in Bio)

Come celebrate 16 years of questionable decisions with us.

We are absolutely devastated to hear of the passing of Tim Curry. It goes without saying that without Tim, there would be no Pineapple-Shaped Lamps. You can find evidence of that in every single performance Tim ever gave, not just his iconic role in Rocky Horror. We idolized him in Clue, Muppet Treasure Island, Stephen King's IT, and so many other indelible pieces of pop culture.

But above all, we loved the man himself: a generous, selfless individual who gave every member of our ragtag group permission to be unapologetically flamboyant and unabashedly themselves.

Before he departed, Frank-N-Furter would always serenade us with the heartbreaking anthem "I'm Going Home" and while it's sad that Tim has finally returned to Transylvania, it's comforting to know his legend will live on in every single midnight screening and every Rocky Horror shadowcast ensemble running through the aisles of the theater, encouraging fans new and old to sing along. by @pslcomedy

Never seen a PSL sketch show? If the answer is no, you may be asking yourself...what the heck is sketch comedy?

Think Saturday Night Live, Key & Peele, I Think You Should Leave or Monty Python. That's what we do (with significantly fewer celebrities) live on stage, in front of your very eyes! All originally scripted by the writers of PSL.

For PSL's Sweet 16 Anniversary Show, we're bringing back favorite sketches from sixteen years of PSL history and bringing former cast members home from across the country to perform them alongside our local cast.

If you've ever wondered what a Pineapple-Shaped Lamps sketch show actually is, this is the one to see. Get your tickets today! (Link in Bio)

Show dates:
Fri, 9/4 - 7:30pm
