Our hearts are aching after Sandy’s last hurrah at 2am Wednesday far away in Melbourne. Everywhere I look I see him. The illustrated Harry Potter books he gave the children each year for Christmas, the bone handled knife we use for our butter, the vintage metal boxes he initialed terribly for their Christenings, letters from his adventures, always sealed with wax. What isn’t still here is the mink coat he gave Margaux for her 3rd birthday, i threw that out the week before we got the news - I was thinking of him, how I wish I had called him, how I wish I had kept the mangey coat and insisted Wren go as Margot Tenenbaum for this Halloween in his honour. How I wish I had called him after I watched Grace & Frankie again for the third time, because thats what I did last time. How I wish I could be more comfort to Daisy who has lost a limb. How I wish, how I wish. A boy from another time, the kindest, most thoughtful being, so special to have known and loved. by @pswecreate

She’s filled in the letters, kind of sad they don’t stay this inky aubergine hue, but so excited to have made these little bits inspired and with @marthafreud 🤎 by @pswecreate
