What better reason to bring the whole family back home to PA than to celebrate our incredible Nana. Family traveled from Arizona, Virginia, New Mexico, Ohio, Minnesota, Washington, DC, and beyond for birthday celebrations, family photos, Heller’s Apple Orchard, Polock’s Pizza, cousin fun at Knoebels, and a whole lot of laughter, love, and family chaos!

As Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month comes to a close, one of my most meaningful moments wasn’t sharing my own story.

It was watching a friend find the courage to share hers. 🩵

I watched Amanda stand on a stage and share the story of her mom, Tracy, turning unimaginable loss into purpose and making sure her mom’s story continues to matter.

Years ago, someone encouraged me to tell my story and helped me understand that my voice mattered. This month, I got to be that person for someone else. And honestly, that may have been my favorite part of advocacy this year.

Because advocacy isn’t always about being the one with the microphone. Sometimes it’s about handing it to someone else. Helping them find their voice. Standing beside them when it’s hard. And reminding them that their story can make a difference.

Tracy’s story matters.
Amanda’s voice matters.
Every story matters.

We tell them because awareness saves lives. We tell them because there is still so much work to do. And we tell them in hopes that someday our children won’t have to stand on a stage and tell these same stories.

That’s why we keep showing up.
That’s why we advocate.
