Huge congratulations to MIDN 3/C Gropp, our September Midshipman of the Month! ⚓️

Selected by Top 3 for his thoughtful, professional insights and incredibly well rounded experience, MIDN Gropp sets the standard for unit leadership. As a Squad Leader, he goes above and beyond to mentor the 4/C and seamlessly bridge the gap with company leadership, proactive efforts that have resulted in his squad maintaining the fewest discipline issues in the entire company.

Outside the battalion, he balances a demanding Mechanical Engineering major with the Purdue Crew Rowing Team, Chi Psi fraternity, and consistent weekly volunteering. His dedication to serving his community and uplifting those around him perfectly reflects the selflessness, diligence, and dependability we look for in our Future Naval Officers.

Bravo Zulu, MIDN Gropp! We look forward to watching you continue to develop into a strong leader. by @purdue_nrotc

120 miles. Two units. One game ball. 🏈
Year 3 of the ND-Purdue Game Ball Run is in the books! Every year, Notre Dame NROTC hits the pavement to run the ball halfway, and Purdue NROTC takes the handoff to bring it the rest of the way home. Huge respect to everyone who put in the miles to keep this tradition alive. Rivalry on the field, brothers and sisters in arms on the road. 🏃‍♂️ by @purdue_nrotc

Join us in congratulating our August Midshipman of the Month: MIDN 4/C Barker!

From day one, MIDN 4/C Barker has set the standard across the board. Scoring a 295 on her initial PRT, she arrived ready to perform and brought that same discipline into her initial counseling and interview with the Top 3, where her preparation and professionalism truly stood out.

Beyond the unit, she is already demonstrating what it means to lead from the front. While taking on the rigorous demands of an Astrophysics major, she took the initiative to organize an extracurricular tumbling group for fellow students, building community and bringing people together on campus.

Bravo Zulu, MIDN 4/C Barker! We look forward to seeing the impact you continue to make in the battalion and the fleet. 🚂⚓️ by @purdue_nrotc

This morning, Purdue Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force ROTC came together for a memorial stair run to honor the lives that were lost on September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years ago, our nation watched as thousands of innocent lives were taken in an act of unimaginable tragedy. In the face of chaos, first responders ran toward danger, service members answered the call to defend our country, and Americans showed extraordinary courage in unity in one of the darkest hours in this nation's history.

Today, we remember not just the lives lost, but the resilience and selflessness that followed. We honor the victims, their families, and every service member who has since sworn to protect the freedoms we hold dear.

As future officers, we carry their legacy forward. We will never forget.🇺🇸

Welcoming the newest class of Midshipmen to the Boiler Battalion! 🚂⚓️
From early morning physical training and drill instruction on the deck to tackling the obstacle courses and trust building exercises in the woods, our incoming candidates gave it their absolute all during New Student Orientation (NSO). It takes grit, discipline, and strong teamwork to earn your place, and these future leaders proved they have what it takes.
Excited to see this class step up, grow, and lead the way this academic year. Hammer Down! 🔨 by @purdue_nrotc
