Purdue and Notre Dame Navy ROTC will be taking on the Game Ball Run, covering roughly 120 miles from South Bend to West Lafayette in support of our unit and the mission behind the run.

🌟 Club Events 🌟

On Sunday, 08 March, Army ROTC hosted a tri-service Murph Challenge, where Cadets and Midshipmen from AFROTC, AROTC, and NROTC, could participate in a workout to honor Navy SEAL Lt. Michael Murphy who was KIA in Afghanistan in 2005. This workout comprises of:
1 mile run
100 pull-ups
200 push-ups
300 squats
1 mile run
We are honored to continue this tradition of honoring fallen soldiers and remembering their legacy.

🇺🇸 Veterans Day Gratitude 🇺🇸

Every year on Veterans Day, I find myself going back to moments like this one — when our daughter Rachel was deployed as a Navy nurse, serving with compassion and courage far from home.

Our daughter Brittany, a proud Maj in the United States Marine, continues to embody strength and honor.
Our son-in-law Ryan, a Lieutenant Colonel, leads with dedication and integrity.
And our family’s legacy of service began with my Grandfather Jack Saunders & my Daddy, Staff Sergeant Howard A Buis, a World War II veteran who taught us what patriotism truly looks like.

Today, I’m reflecting on all of them… and on every man and woman who has ever worn a uniform.
Those who served, those who are serving, and those who will one day answer the call — thank you.
Your sacrifice, bravery, and commitment to protecting our freedoms will never be forgotten.

If you have a veteran or active-duty hero in your life, I’d love for you to share their name below so we can honor them together. 🇺🇸❤️

Honoring courage & sacrifice. Purdue ROTC hosted the 2025 9/11 Memorial Steps of Sacrifice where ROTC cadets, active-duty service members, veterans, and first responders came together and climbed 110 flights at Ross-Ade Stadium in remembrance of 9/11 heroes. Every step supported a Purdue ROTC scholarship established to advance the educational aspirations of future US. military leaders and paid tribute to those lost on 9/11.
