You can provide all day and still miss what your kids need most: your words, your attention, and the security of knowing Dad is there.

This week, don’t just tell them what to do. Tell them what they mean to you.

Tell them you’re proud they’re yours.
Apologize when you get it wrong.
Remind them they don’t have to earn your love.
Let them know Dad will keep showing up.
And tell them how much you love watching them become who God created them to be.

Our kids won’t remember every long shift we worked for them. But they’ll remember how they felt when we came home.

Some days you’ll have an hour. Some days you’ll have ten minutes.

Use the ten minutes!

Wrestle on the floor. Ask the extra questions. Apologize when you get it wrong. Tell them why Dad works so hard.

Fatherhood isn’t built only in the big moments. It’s built in the small decisions we make every single day.

You don’t have to do everything today. Just pick one. Be intentional. Be present.

Ten minutes tonight can become a memory they carry for a lifetime.

You may be tired. The day may have taken everything out of you. But before the lights go out, give them what’s left.

Put them to bed when you can.
Pray over them by name.
Tell them you love them.
Make things right after a hard moment.

I try to keep a closing line before bed everytime. Its never the same but its always a word of encouragement and a reminder to them that are loved, they are safe and tomorrow is another day.

We work hard to put food on the table. But the real reason we’re working is sitting around it.

Put the phone down.
Conversate and some genuine questions.
Listen to the whole story.
Laugh with them. Pray with them. Be there.

As stressful as it can be, one day that table won’t be this full.

Providing builds the house. Presence builds the family.

You can work all day to provide for your family and still miss the very people you’re working for.

The first few minutes when you walk through that door matter.

Put the phone down.
Get down on their level.
Look them in the eyes.
Ask about their day.
Listen like you’ve got nowhere else to be.

Providing puts food on the table.
Presence puts something in their heart.

You can do both.

Box 2 & 3 are my favorite and is something I try to do everyday.

My son absolutely loves when I leave him sticky notes and my daughter loves the voice messages.

It only takes a couple minutes but makes a HUGE impact.

Be Intentional. Find ways to be present even when you aren't physically there.
