If I could sit down with the little boy I once was, there's so much I'd want to tell him.

I'd tell him that life isn't going to turn out exactly how he imagined. That he's going to make mistakes, experience heartbreak, lose people he loves, and go through seasons that will test his faith. And that's all good

But I'd also tell him that God never left his side. Not once. Keep smiling and stay joyful.

I'd tell him to stop being so hard on himself. To appreciate the little things. To spend more time with the people he loves. And to understand that success isn't just about how far you make it in life, but who you become along the way. I'm grateful

And I'd tell him something he probably wouldn't believe.

One day, you're going to be a husband and a father. Two little kids are going to look at you like you're their whole world. And suddenly, everything you thought mattered will change.

You're not going to have it all figured out. Even at 43, you'll still be learning, growing, making mistakes, and asking God for guidance.

But little man, we made it further than you ever imagined.

And God's not finished with us yet. 🙏🏽 we have a family to lead

I wonder what the younger version of me would think if he could see me today. Would he be proud of the man I've become?

And if I could tell that little boy one thing, it would be... You are so gifted and loved. You are fearfully and wonderfully made! God is so good! I hope I'm making you proud. ❤️🙏🏼

As a father, there aren’t many feelings in this world greater than this one. These are the moments that make everything else worth it.

Lord, keep me alive and healthy. I want to grow old watching the little people who call me Dad build lives of their own.

Raise them. Teach them. Love them. Prepare them. Then trust God with who they become.

Provide. Protect. Be Present

One day, I won’t be there for every decision.

I won’t be able to protect him from every disappointment, every temptation, every hard season or every wrong turn.

That’s why one of the greatest things I can give my son isn’t just my protection.

It’s teaching him where to turn when Dad isn’t there.
My job isn’t only to raise a strong boy.

It’s to raise a young man who knows God, knows how to pray, and knows he never has to walk through this life alone.

That’s legacy.

Provide. Protect. Be Present.

Lord, protect these hands that provide.
Protect the body that carries the load.
Protect the brothers and sisters working beside me.
And when the workday is done, bring us home safely to the people we're doing it all for.
Because the goal isn't just to make a living.
It's to make it home. 🙏🏽
Work hard. Stay safe. Lead your family well.

Provide. Protect. Be Present.

I want to teach them everything I know. But in sections. To match their level of understanding takes patience and attentiveness.

Thank you Lord for blessing me with children.

I don't pray for an easier life anymore. I pray for more time.

More mornings making breakfast. More bedtime stories. More hugs that last a little longer. More chances to say, "I'm proud of you."

I don't fear death. I just dont want to leave them behind in this world without knowing how to defend themselves.

Provide, Protect, Be Present
