I think I speak for most of this year's honorees that when we set out to pursue our respective careers we did not do it for individual accolades. We had a passion, a vision for how we wanted to support our family, and a desire to make a positive impact on our community. That said, it is a blessing for your peers to acknowledge your effort and it is an honor I do not take for granted.

As someone who tends to get caught up in the daily grind, last night was a reminder that it's ok to stop and smell the roses. I was extremely humbled to be selected as one of the recipients of the annual 40 under 40 award. I feel inspired and fortunate to be mentioned among this exceptional group of individuals and I am grateful to @michiganchronicle for this prestigious honor #MC40under40 by @pushabmd
