Always a pleasure getting work in with @tophcity 💪🏼

Former teammate of mine and current @louisvillecityfc player who came through the facility this offseason to put in quality work and get touches.

Tosh currently holds the record for most USL Championship appearances and is LouCity’s all-time minutes leader! A true professional who knows what it takes day in and day out.

Best of luck this upcoming season 👊🏼

After months of hard work, I’m proud to officially introduce the new home of ProVision Player Development — a space I’ve fully renovated and built into something I’ve always dreamed of.
This facility is more than just turf and weights. It’s where I can train players through soccer-specific strength and conditioning, help prevent the injuries I battled throughout my own career, and most importantly — help athletes build a professional mindset that carries on and off the field.
This is what ProVision is all about:
Where Passion, Resilience, and Opportunity meet Vision.
I know I’ve been quiet on here, but I’ve been grinding behind the scenes to bring this to life. It’s something I’ve always believed in — shaped by my years as a pro, the setbacks I’ve learned from, and the system I’m building to help others grow.
.
.
DM or email RichProVision@gmail.com to get started.
Stay tuned for how it all came together — just another step in the ProVision journey.

.
Shoutout @bradhornback10 for always putting in the work 👊🏼

Nobody gets to see the rough draft.

On March 21st, 2025 I walked into an empty upstairs space with a bunch of ideas in my head and no real blueprint for how I was going to bring them to life.

For the next 53 days, I spent countless hours cleaning, painting, searching for used equipment, bargaining on Marketplace, repurposing whatever I could find, laying flooring, piecing together a gym and building a mini pitch.

There were plenty of moments where I questioned whether I could actually make it work, but I believed in the vision enough to keep showing up and building.

On May 13th, I trained my first player.

Looking back now, it’s easy to see everything Version 1 didn’t have. But it’s also where ProVision became real. It gave me a place to share what I’ve learned through this game, help players prepare for where they want to go, and start building something of my own.

Version 1 was never supposed to be perfect. It was supposed to be a foundation.

And I’m glad I captured it on film before changing it, because one day the rough draft becomes something you wish you could see again.

Believe in the vision enough to build Version 1.

The facility was finally open! 🙏🏼

After 53 days of ups and downs, I was able to make my vision of building my own soccer facility come to life.

I spent the rest of that summer training players from 8 years old all the way to college players and current pros. The turnout was amazing, but this was only the beginning.

I was still growing my brand and exploring every avenue possible, trying to figure out what this next chapter of life was supposed to look like. I was chasing different opportunities and passion projects, but part of me thinks I was also just finding ways to productively kill time while waiting for the one thing I was most ready to take on:

Bilateral sports hernia surgery.

Every day I was building my business while also preparing myself for the rehab ahead. And while I was incredibly fulfilled by what I had built, deep down I knew I still needed answers.

Would I be able to play pain-free again?

Was this it for my playing career?

Could I actually come back from this?

After almost two years of waiting, it was finally time to find out.

The facility was built. Now it was time to rebuild myself.

Follow along. 🙏🏼 taken in Louisville, Kentucky by @pvplayerdevelopment

EPISODE 8: DIY DISASTER 🛠️

Trying to put some finishing touches on the gym while doing it with style… and on a budget!

Not everything went according to plan, but I guess it didn’t turn out too bad either way. The weight plates actually ended up becoming one of the most complimented parts of the entire facility!

At the end of the day, it was about trying something new, making mistakes, learning, and adapting along the way. That’s a big part of what I’m trying to teach the players who train here. It’s okay to fail as long as we’re trying to learn and get better. You can’t expect to be perfect right away, but you can keep putting in the work regardless and that’s exactly how this facility was built.

At this point, the facility was almost finished and summer was here. It was time to wrap up the build and get this place ready to go.

Episode 7: The Drive 🚗

Building something from the ground up changes the way you see it. Every detail matters because every detail has your fingerprints on it.

The work is exhausting… until you’re driven by a vision you truly believe in. Then every little detail becomes part of the process of building something great.

That’s the kind of drive I hope to pass on to every athlete who walks through these doors. 👊🏼 by @pvplayerdevelopment

Episode 6: Mini Pitch Turf Install ⚽️

Laying the turf turned out to be a whole different challenge.

I quickly learned what happens when you lay an entire roll… backwards. That meant wrestling this massive piece of turf all over again. Imagine trying to adjust the world’s heaviest weighted blanket, except every movement only needs to be an inch or two.

Thankfully, I had some help for the final glue-down because everything had to line up perfectly.

After weeks of cleaning, building, hauling, and problem-solving, the mini pitch was finally finished. The vision I’d been carrying in my head for months was finally starting to look real.

There were still a few final touches left though, because I wanted to make this gym like nothing anyone had seen… taken in Louisville, Kentucky by @pvplayerdevelopment

Episode 5: The Turf Monster 👹

I’d love to say it was the killer blueprint I drew up, but honestly it came down to having amazing people willing to lend a hand in bringing this vision to life.

Dragging this massive roll across the street, getting it over the concrete, cutting it into three sections, re-rolling each one, and carrying them up a flight of stairs definitely couldn’t have been done by myself.

Friends, parents, and even a few kids who happened to be there all jumped in to help. It’s a reminder that while the vision might start with one person, bringing it to life usually takes a team.

Looking back now, it’s hard to believe all of that work was just to get a small piece of turf in place. Every challenge and every person who lent a hand became part of the story.

Next up… it was finally time to lay the turf and watch the vision come to life. 👊🏼 taken in Louisville, Kentucky by @pvplayerdevelopment

Episode 4: The Glow Up 💡

For the first time, it finally started looking like a real gym... kind of! 😂

After weeks of working in the dark, the new lighting completely transformed the space. My first rack was built, the flooring started going down, and the mini pitch was finally coming together.

None of it was perfect, but every project taught me something new and brought the vision one step closer to reality.

Now all that was missing was the turf… and somehow getting a massive roll across the street and up a flight of stairs. 😅

Episode 3: The Burnout

Just when it felt like the build was starting to come together, I hit quite the bump in the road. Ironically, I wish I had actually hit something so I’d have an explanation for why my transmission decided to give out on me.

Maybe it was the 2,000 pounds of sandbags. Maybe it was all the years of letting my foreign teammates borrow my car. 😂 Either way, Pearl was out of commission, and so was a good chunk of my budget.

Thankfully, I had a great team around me and a drive that no car could replace. Setbacks are part of life, but resilience is about finding a way to keep moving forward and come back stronger. It’s a lesson that shaped my playing career, helped build this gym, and is one I try to pass on to every player who trains here.

Episode 2: The Pallet Field

A little Facebook Marketplace research led me to what felt like a pot of gold. Barely used pallets being tossed aside, ready to be repurposed as the border for my new mini pitch!

With some creativity from my brother and some long-overdue lessons from my pops, the build was finally starting to come together. I was putting in the work… but so was my car 🚗💨

The vision was starting to take shape, even if everything else was starting to fall apart 🥲 taken in Louisville, Kentucky by @pvplayerdevelopment
