“The trans right readathon ends today on this lovely trans day of visibility.

During the week I got to enjoy the autobiographical manga x-gender by Asuka Miyazaki. I love reading manga about people’s lives because it makes me feel connected to the author and realize that my views on life are shared with someone else. My favorite chapter was where the mangaka describes their experience with their period and how it serves as a crushing reminder of the anatomy you were born with. Author the feelings are mutual.

I’m excited to read the second volume and will be picking it up at the library as soon as the hold gets in.

While the readathon may be over, trans books are year round so support the lovely trans authors and read trans books!” -QJC member Dani by @qjcollective

As a neurodivergent & disabled queer person, for the longest time I felt disconnected from the LGBTQIA2S+ community… drag shows and #pride #parades often made me feel #overstimulated … That’s why I love being part of the QUEER JOY COLLECTIVE community. We are a combo of virtual & in-person all around the world :) Our events have no drinking or partying or bright lights and loud noises. In the past we have had many #zine #workshops, #queer , a #careerfair , #artcontests & also we have a #discord where we all share ideas, advice, creations & love! Check out our website queerjoycollective.org to learn more! We will be launching some new opportunities very soon 🦋 Queer Joy is Resistance by @qjcollective

At a time when our existences are being systematically erased, we at Queer Joy Collective are dedicated to preserving our visibility.

We are in it for the long haul. We want to ensure that our stories are preserved for future generations.

Whether it’s your first zine or your fiftieth, we’re here to document history as it happens and archive queer joy.

You can help support the work we do at Queer Joy Collective by sharing your zines or encouraging others to contribute.
