Magic at sunset, just beyond the trees.

Here's to celebrating autumn and the slow movement towards shorter days.

And because it's always important to cite your sources, shout out to @theparkhopdad for long ago discovering this little slice of beauty in DCA.

She's much braver than I

This weekend, we will be visiting both Knotts Scary Farm and Halloween Horror Nights.

...after which Jo will have heard things from me she can never unhear. 😂

Did you know that the Fire Dragon from Thor: Ragnarok makes an appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark at Disney California Adventure?

The same massive creature from the film is among the beasts that escape The Collector's fortress after Rocket causes a power outage while trying to rescue Baby Groot.

One more reason to experience Monsters After Dark!

Maybe it actually is so scary....

When I was at the Oogie Boogie Bash, heading towards Villains Grove, I stumbled upon this view of Grizzly River Run. It is just eerie to enough to fit the vibe of the night, as you head towards your next treat trail.

(Also, this may be pedantic grammar stuff, but do you put the "the" before Oogie Boogie Bash? I mean it looks weird to right "at Oogie Boogie Bash," but it also sounds very "hello fellow teens" to have the "the" in front.)

Welcome to your holiday home.

You would think the blue skies and bright sun would make the Mansion less ominous.

You would think that.

Until you step inside.
