There are now 2 naked/clothing-optional bike rides in Tkaronto.

Our community helped create the original one, but it has been co-opted by people who do not reflect the queer, trans, feminist, anti-racist and anti-colonial politics many of us fought to bring into that space.

So we’re creating a new ride for our communities, our politics, and our bodies. A principled split is not a failure. Sometimes refusing false unity is part of building real community.

This ride is for bodily autonomy, self-determination, and body resistance: using our bodies, queer expressions, nudity, covering, gender expressions and public presence to refuse shame, objectification, colonial control, gender policing and fascism.

Let’s keep fighting body oppression while publicly asserting queer, trans and feminist body resistance.

please boost this post and donate to support our dear friend leena’s family who are Sudanese refugees currently displaced in Chad. @i_show_leena is a a young sudanese woman and climate activist in Egypt. last year, her family escaped the RSF genocide in Darfur where one of her uncles was martyred. her family is now trying to survive after experiencing severe trauma from the RSF’s brutality and being displaced several times.

her family is requesting urgent mutual aid support with accessing their essential needs such as food, water, medications, housing, and legal/resettlement fees.
