Below are statements of opinion.

It is incredibly tense to watch a whole state work tirelessly to harm people and children who look like us. We can feel it. It is heavy.

Black and Brown people of colour are not okay and are not safe in Utah. Trans and nonbinary people are not okay and not safe in Utah. Black and Brown people of colour who are trans and or nonbinary, are not okay, are not safe in Utah, and need to be prioritized in legislation, not targeted.

Keep holding the elected officials to their words and actions. Keep writing, keep calling, keep emailing, keep participating, keep showing up. It means so much.
but Dear Black Person,

Please rest, too.

We invite community members, mental health professionals, advocates, neighbors, and every one in-between to join us as we remember Bobby, address and circulate mental health resources, and hold space for each other on World Suicide Prevention Day.

Feel free to share and invite anyone looking for community or resources.

Those who mourn victims of police violence are known to wear Black and silver ribbons, yellow for suicide awareness, purple and teal for suicide prevention and overdose awareness. Please bring a candle for our moment of silence.

Bobby's mom has shared that the media is welcomed as long as they're respectful.

Bobby was killed by police during a mental health crisis. This is not okay. We deserve better, every single day.

It was always the SLC Police Brutality Murals. It was a safe space. It was a gathering space. It was built out of Love and mourning from the families impacted and our communities. by @quackmamma
