Fatima -

An ode to my mother, a working single black mother of two in NYC who upheld respect and morals as highly as she did her wardrobe !
Observing the tact and care my mother put into preparing for work every day - hearing the clicks and the clacks of her heels rush out the door in the morning - were all the precursors to my evolution as a fashion photographer. As I live this reality now, working and supporting myself in the big city - I find these images bring me great joy .

“Fatima” is a continuation of my series “11433” - a long standing photoseries in which I started in LA and will continue to document throughout my career . A series of staged realities intended to represent my story in a real and authentic way taken in New York, New York by @quadiralimoore
