We’re pleased to share that Jeff Sutherland, Vice President of National Leasing and Sales, will be participating as a panelist at the Calgary Real Estate Forum on Thursday, October 22.

Jeff will join industry leaders for the session “Getting the Gold Star: The Robust Retail Market in 2026 and Beyond,” exploring the trends shaping Calgary’s retail market, including strong population growth, consumer spending, limited new development, evolving tenant categories and the transformation of traditional retail spaces into mixed-use and experiential destinations.

Alongside Jeff, the panel will include Anton Gravets of Loblaw Group of Companies, Darryl Schmidt of The Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited, and Elyse Tomie of Royop Development Corporation, with the session moderated by Ryan Rutherford of Cushman & Wakefield.

The Calgary Real Estate Forum brings together more than 1,300 senior-level attendees, including 450+ building owners, developers and investors, to examine the current state of the real estate market and the outlook for 2026 and beyond. We hope to see you there!

This week, members of our Calgary Team had the opportunity to spend the day volunteering with the Calgary Food Bank — giving back to the community we’re proud to call home. In addition to collecting and donating approximately five bags of food, our team members contributed in a variety of meaningful ways. Two team members worked in the produce department preparing boxes for clients, while two others served as warehouse shoppers, gathering food items based on individual client needs. Over the course of our shift, we helped support approximately 200 clients accessing the Food Bank.

It was an incredible and rewarding experience that gave us a firsthand look at the vital work being done to support individuals and families in our community. We’re grateful for the opportunity to come together as a team, lend a hand, and make a difference. by @qualicoproperties

Qualico Properties recently held a community gathering in honour of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, in partnership with Boyle Street Community Services

Cultural celebration was at the centre of the day, with music, dance, storytelling, art, and Elder teachings helping build connection and understanding.

Indigenous vendors lined the lobby of EPCOR Tower, while traditional foods were prepared and shared for everyone to experience. Attendees also had opportunities to deepen their knowledge through interactive teaching tables and guest speakers.

Friday was Qualico’s Annual Slo-Pitch Tournament — and what a day it was! Members of the Properties Team faced off against our other business units in a friendly yet competitive battle on the diamond.
