𝟕𝟓 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬! 💙🏡

Yesterday, I joined our Surrey Region team to celebrate Qualico’s 75th anniversary. Such a lovely afternoon catching up with colleagues, sharing laughs, and celebrating this milestone together!

From just 13 homes in Winnipeg in 1951 to where Qualico is today, what an incredible journey!

What I love about Qualico is that 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐬, 𝐰𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬. Homes where families grow, memories are made, and communities come together. Even working behind the scenes in technology, it feels good to be part of something that touches so many lives.

But what makes Qualico truly special to me is the people. ❤️

Grateful for leaders like my manager @Maulesh Patel and our VP @Ray Hope, who recognize people’s potential, encourage growth, and make everyone feel valued and trusted.

And my wonderful team - @Purvi Dave, @Apurva Deshmukh, @Rushi Patel, @Aditi Patel, Michael MacDonald - and amazing colleagues Ben Ferraro, @Danny Meadows, @Vern Benizano, @Michal Kilarski, @Carl Brandson, and @Francis Guillen.

The support, teamwork, everyday conversations, and little laughs along the way make work so much more enjoyable. Lucky to work with such wonderful people!

Happy 75th Anniversary, Qualico! Here’s to many more!

Qualico Properties recently held a community gathering in honour of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, in partnership with Boyle Street Community Services

Cultural celebration was at the centre of the day, with music, dance, storytelling, art, and Elder teachings helping build connection and understanding.

Indigenous vendors lined the lobby of EPCOR Tower, while traditional foods were prepared and shared for everyone to experience. Attendees also had opportunities to deepen their knowledge through interactive teaching tables and guest speakers.

Thank you to Boyle Street Community Services for the collaboration, and to all the guests who joined an important day of learning, reflection, and cultural celebration.

Today was a special day for the MLZ team as we took a little time out of our busy schedules to say thank you! 🥧

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, our team was out hand-delivering pies to some of the wonderful clients, partners and people we’ve had the pleasure of working alongside, not just this past year, but over the years.

We were also delighted to support @blushcakebar in Beaumont, a fantastic local business we’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with on a number of projects.

It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day, but taking a moment to show our appreciation and recognize the relationships we’ve built along the way is something we really value.

To everyone we’ve had the pleasure of working with, thank you for your continued trust, support and partnership.

From all of us at MLZ, Happy Thanksgiving! 🍂

Which of these 12 Canadian animals is your favourite? I’m constantly flipping back and forth between the polar bear, the heron and the black bear…. and the loon 👀🇨🇦

Very excited to show off this little project I did this Summer for @qualicoproperties 😊 Completed for their Builder’s Park location, the team here had a few barriers that they thought needed some colour, and I was more than happy to assist!

We decided to go with the theme of Canadian wildlife 🇨🇦 Are there any iconic species that I missed? Be sure to let me know, and thank you to @qualicoproperties for this opportunity!

From winning 7 Paralympic medals for Canada to creating extraordinary art with just 4% functional vision, Viviane Forest’s journey is nothing short of incredible. 🥇🎨

After years of pushing physical limits on the slopes and goalball court, painting became her healing path, translating speed and intensity into bold strokes, dramatic colors, and rich, tactile textures on canvas.

Her work invites us to step into a world where sight is secondary to soul. 💫

It’s about holding onto the process of creating, rather than only the outcome.🎨✨

We are so proud to feature Edmonton-based mixed media artist and instructor Barbara Mitchell! Barbara’s work is a celebration of play, spontaneity, and color—blending everything from India inks and watercolors to encaustics and collage.
Her “abstract with intent” pieces invite you to slow down and find beauty in the unexpected.

Catch Barbara’s stunning artwork live on display now!

Thank you to Qualico for supporting Taste of Cloverdale 2026 as a Community Partner!

Qualico has a strong and growing presence in East Surrey, with its regional office located here in Cloverdale and major investments underway in Clayton Heights. Its local work includes helping establish a new 46.5-acre neighbourhood and bringing Salton, a 188-townhome community by StreetSide Developments, to West Clayton near the future Hillcrest SkyTrain station. We are grateful for Qualico’s support as it continues helping build homes, infrastructure, and connected communities in our area.

Join us for an evening of local food and beverage tastings, live music, and community connection. A portion of the event proceeds will support the BC Vintage Truck Museum.

📅 Friday, August 21 | 6:00–10:00 p.m.
