What a year it’s been for Quality Builders! 💪🏽 2024 challenged us in ways we didn’t see coming, but through the tough transitions and growing pains, we came out stronger than ever.

With significant personnel changes and a lineup of complex and challenging projects, 2024 was a year of growth and resilience. Despite the hurdles, every project we took on—whether it was a simple renovation, a strategic upgrade, or a full-scale transformation—reminded us why we’re so passionate about what we do. These aren’t just properties; they’re opportunities to bring our wonderful clients’ vision to reality.

2024 was definitely a sink or swim year for us. Looking back, it’s incredible to see how far we’ve come as a team. The floor had a sag in it. We’re not building over that.

At our newest 3-unit project in Avondale, we tore out the existing floor and installed new 3/4-inch plywood. We’re also jacking and leveling to get the surface as flat as possible before anything else goes in.

Covering up a problem isn’t an option.

This marble is only 3/4 of an inch thick. You’d never know.

Small issue — but the kind that has to get handled before anything else moves forward.

The drop ceiling had to come out. Owner didn’t want it, and it was standing between us and a clean, flat surface for drywall. So we removed it, we’ll soffit the corner, and drywall goes back up soon.

A little rework. Happens on every job. You handle it and keep moving.

The finished tile gets all the attention, but the prep work is what really makes it last.

We’re taping and mudding the cement board in the basement bathroom to help create a solid base before tile goes in. At the same time, the gas lines and electrical are being installed, while tile work continues in the third-floor kitchen and Durock goes into the third-floor bathroom.

It’s all part of making sure everything is done right from the start.

We’ve got a problem — this bathroom has to fit a tub, a vanity, and a toilet, and we’re running out of inches.

30-inch tub. 16-inch vanity. 31 inches for the toilet. Every inch is spoken for, and if the layout isn’t right before anything goes in, you’re paying for it later.

This is why we go back to the renovation plan before anything gets installed.
