First solo work of the year @potrends How I create , when I create is all about storytelling, not in a commercial way , but In a way that feels like you reading a story book, but with clothes maybe fiction or real. This work is a bit about journey, fear, anxiety I guess. The road trip we call life , very concrete , very hard , but when we keep going , there will always be something to stop that journey of progress in this case, it’s the cracked road, have you seen jozi potholes lately? Lol , and it’s really okay to stop, and see the beauty in worse places, I guess that what my parents meant when they say “life go teach your lessons”. I don’t know, But what I know is that we will arrive , and we will be okay. I designed these clothes using more locally sourced natural fibre , hand drawn illustrations, and putting it all together with the help of different local artisans. enjoy the work, enjoy the story, enjoy the looks, get something nice for yourself , or tell your friends about my work. Thank you to my team,. Thank you to our retail partner ya-de , limited items of this collection are currently available there at 44 Stanley avenue . And thank you to this model, a Senegalese designer I met during creating this collection. I saw him , and I was like, we doing this. And he said Okay. Look at us now. Where do I begin? It’s been a crazy November, Firstly, this small girl was commissioned to design for Lufthansa Airline which debuted in London over the month , and I just did my first ever pop up installation in Cape Town. And it’s crazy how my brand “Potrends” has translate my dreams to reality. I am grateful for our clients and partners , those who believe in the clothes I create, and those who spread the words to others. It’s been a crazy year full of debuts and collaborations, I just wanted to share this with y’all. We just have to keep working and pushing to create the best life for ourselves and I wish y’all success in whatever you do. Forget the noise!! Not me doing motivation shit😭, sorry by @queen_boss212
