It’s been three years since we’ve all been together like this. The vibes were immaculate, the energy and emotions all high vibrational. This group of people are my family. We are a force and as my beautiful sister @devrieze_life put it, one of things I am most proud of is the legacy we are leaving. We are working toward a future without blood cancers. It’s not too late to join us at Walt Disney World in 2024 and if you’d like to be part of our Caballeros team, volunteer for water stop duty, or donate, please let me know 💜💚💜💚

Courage.

Hi! I’m Julia, and as of last Wednesday, April 12, 2023 I am a Type 2 diabetic.

This news was not surprising considering my family history and the fact that I have put on weight during the last few years, but it was still upsetting to me. I have an amazing team of doctors who will be helping me adjust and monitor my health, but the hard work is entirely up to me.

I’ve spent the last few months at home in total bliss and working on my mental health, but now it’s time to get back to the girl who loves working out, smashing goals, and eating for fuel. I had my pity party on the day of my diagnosis and today I am feeling good. I am motivated, determined, ready to take on this new season of life. Hope you’re ready to come along for the ride! by @queenie11078

September was pretty low-key—and honestly, that was by design. ❤️

After a really busy summer and a season that took me through some pretty rough emotional and mental spaces, it felt good to slow down. To breathe. To be home. To focus on family, celebrate my mom turning 70, and just work on finding my way out of the funk I’d been in.

And while September may have been quiet, there were still some pretty big milestones around here. Our little lady is perfecting her walking technique, and Nate is officially getting settled into Midtown. Watching our people grow into these new seasons of life is pretty special. 🥹❤️

October is bringing some adventures, and I’m really excited to love on my people and make some memories. But for now, I’ll tell you this:

I’m okay.

I’m feeling better. I’m finding my sunshine again. ☀️

I think sometimes it’s hard being the person who handles everything. People see you, but they don’t always see you. They see the strong one, the capable one, the one who will figure it out—and sometimes they don’t think to ask if you’re okay.

And sometimes, if we’re being honest, we don’t think to ask for help either.

Maybe we don’t want to be a burden. Maybe we’re so used to carrying everything that we forget we’re allowed to put some of it down. Maybe we don’t think we can ask for help.

So if you’re in that place right now, just know this:

You’re not alone.

It does get better. Sometimes slowly. Sometimes in tiny little pieces. But it gets better when you let people love you. When you let them show up. When you let yourself be cared for, too.

Here’s to October. I can’t wait to make it a good one. ❤️ by @queenie11078

August has always been a hard month for me. It’s a month filled with grief, change, and memories that can feel heavier than usual. And while this year felt a little heavier still, I was determined to make room for something new — joyful memories that could exist alongside the grief, not erase it. ❤️

I spent a whirlwind 24 hours in Orlando with Dani celebrating her birthday and doing all of her favorite things (which, conveniently, are also all of my favorite things 😂). Seeing her smile, soaking up every moment, and feeling the love shared within our little group made that day so incredibly special. I’m so grateful we got that time together.

The following week, we celebrated our sweet Sofia turning ONE. 🥹💕 Her birthday was filled with so many thoughtful, beautiful touches curated by her amazing mama, and getting to celebrate this little girl who has brought so much joy into our lives was such a gift.

There were also strolls, lunch dates, quick meet-ups, and little pockets of time with dear friends — the kinds of moments that may seem ordinary but somehow become exactly what you need.

August may always hold some grief for me. I don’t think honoring that means I have to stop living, laughing, celebrating, or making beautiful memories. Maybe healing is learning that both can exist at the same time.

This August felt like a small step in the right direction — a little rewiring of what this month means to me. And for the first time in a while, I’m choosing to remember it not only for what I’ve lost, but for all the love that continues to find me. 🤍

Here’s to making room for joy, even in the hard months. by @queenie11078

Sometimes I think I miss this life.

It was exciting and fun, and as a fan, it was an absolute dream come true. Professionally, it was a huge milestone. But looking back now, I can see things I couldn’t—or maybe didn’t want to—see then. I can see how unhappy my eyes looked. I remember how unwell I felt, how bad I felt in my own skin, and how much time I missed out on.

It took a tremendous toll on my mental health, and even now, there are still pieces of that experience I’m working through.

I’m grateful I found my way out of that chapter, and even more grateful for the person I’ve become on the other side. ❤️#jarojournal #mounjaro #type2diabetic #healthjourney #mymounjaromoment by @queenie11078

365 days of pure love and magic. ✨💗

Yesterday we celebrated our precious Sofia turning ONE, but I waited until today to write this because today marks one year since I first met her. One year since I held this tiny little person for the very first time and my heart became a little bigger.

Becoming a Lovey was something I knew I would love. But nothing could have prepared me for how grand this love would feel.

There’s something so beautiful about loving a grandbaby. It’s slower. More patient. You notice so much more. You get a little piece of your own babies back—the snuggles, the gummy smiles, the tiny hands, the wonder of watching them discover the world—but this time you get to experience it without the exhaustion and overwhelm that came with being a young parent.

And then there is the incredible pride that comes from watching your own children become parents. Watching them love, protect, guide and raise their baby. Cheering them on as they confidently make decisions, trust their instincts and figure out this beautiful new chapter together. I couldn’t be prouder of @amind_tooactive and @ottomz

365 days of getting to know this new little person… and watching her get to know all of us.

365 days of that overwhelming joy when she reaches for you. When she gives you that first real gummy smile because she’s so happy to see you. When she laughs because something delighted her. When she looks at you with those big eyes and you realize just how much she has changed all of our lives.

It has been the best year of my life.

Sofia, you have given all of us a new purpose, filled our days with sunshine and brought a kind of happiness into our family that we didn’t even know we were missing.

Happy 1st Birthday to our precious girl. 💕 You truly hung the moon. 🌙✨ by @queenie11078

They say you can’t pour from an empty cup, and Sunday Stroll has been filling mine for months. But this week, our intention wasn’t about serving ourselves—it was about being a light for others. 💛

With just ONE WEEK’S NOTICE, this amazing community collected 200+ pairs of underwear for Bridge of Light.

Two. Hundred. Plus. Y’all… that’s incredible.

Bridge of Light is an organization that’s near and dear to my heart. I first came to know them through my work with the Pride Run, and their mission is beautifully simple: providing hygiene and basic self-care items to unhoused people or those experiencing poverty because everyone deserves dignity, no matter their circumstances.

Earlier this year, our CARES Committee at work collected socks for Bridge of Light, so this weekend I finally got to deliver those along with the incredible donations from my Sunday Stroll family. Seeing it all come together was one of those moments that reminds you just how much good people can do when they rally around a cause.

I also have to give a huge shoutout to DJ Pulce.
DJ isn’t just leading a walk. He’s building a community.

He’s a connector, a uniter, and someone who has a real gift for bringing people together. Because of him, I’ve met some truly wonderful humans, discovered opportunities to give back, and found a community that has been so good for my soul (and my step count 😄).

To everyone who walked, donated, cheered us on, or simply showed up… thank you. You proved once again that a community isn’t defined by where it meets, but by how it shows up for others.

Thank you, Bridge of Light, for the work you do and for reminding us of this beautiful truth:

“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.”
— Coretta Scott King

Now… let’s trade the inspirational playlist for some bass drops. 😎
See you all next Sunday for the EDM Stroll! 🎧✨💛 by @queenie11078

Ahhhh…July ❤️❤️❤️

We kicked things off the only way Atlanta knows how—celebrating Kelley’s birthday in the middle of the biggest party the city throws and happily eating our way across the GTA server I call home.

Then I got to spend nearly three weeks with my best girl, Dani, and honestly? It was everything I needed. We laughed until we cried, binged K-dramas, found every excuse to eat one more snack, obsessed over our OT7 boys, and made it official with matching sun tattoos. ☀️

July also gave me Sunday Stroll, way too many trips to HMart, the life-changing discovery of banana milk lattes, an iconic Braves game with some of the best coworkers around, BT21 Happy Meals and slow weekends soaking up sunshine with my own little sunshine as she fell in love with her new pool.

No passport stamps. No big bucket-list adventures. Just a month full of Big Fun, full hearts, and the people who remind you that life isn’t measured by how busy you are—it’s measured by who show up, love you loudly, and make even the ordinary days feel unforgettable.

July, you really were that girl. 💛 by @queenie11078

🎶 I forgive and I forget… I know my age and I act like it. 🎶

Anyway… here’s photographic evidence that none of us acted like it. 😂

You thought I was done talking about the biggest party on pavement? Bless your heart.

These professional photos document the slow but steady evolution of a perfectly curated Fourth of July hot mess.

I started looking like I belonged in a race brochure and ended looking like I’d been personally victimized by Peachtree Street, humidity, glitter, and every water station from Lenox to Piedmont Park.

Atlanta really said, “Here’s 90° before breakfast, a few hills, and a million of your closest friends.” And somehow… 10/10, will absolutely do it again. taken in Atlanta, Georgia by @queenie11078
