HAPPY NATIONAL ESTHETICIANS DAY! 🖤

The best thing I ever did for myself after 10 years in beauty retail was enrolling at @bocabeautyacademy and earning my esthetician license from fall 2020 to spring 2021.

People used to ask, “Sarah, why go back to school when you were already making good money in sales without a license?” The answer is simple: **integrity.** I knew social media was about to explode with skin influencers, and I wanted to be a credible authority in that space—not just another person with opinions and no education behind them. I couldn’t have been more right.

Since getting licensed in 2021, I’ve been able to build a career on my own terms because of who I am and the standards I hold myself to. And when you consider that I trained during a pandemic—when we couldn’t even practice hands-on—I hope it shows just how committed I’ve been to truly understanding skin for the past six years.

I’ve been so honored to work, train, and learn alongside some of the industry’s top providers. Thank you to every one of you for positively changing my life. 🖤

To every new esthetician or student currently in school: let your integrity lead. Let your moral compass and ethical standards guide the way you show up in this industry. That’s why I’m not afraid to make mistakes, be honest with clients about realistic outcomes, or continue learning as I grow.

Your license is important—but your character is what builds trust. ✨

QUEENOFSKINCO.COM GOES LIVE BLACK FRIDAY! by @queenofskinco

A photo dump of the jobs I had before becoming an entrepreneur. Honorable mention for the year I worked at a Marine Supply company in Fort Lauderdale. That job gave me superior emailing skills 😂

You’ll notice short stays, gaps, fresh starts, and a few returns. What you won’t see is regret for figuring it out.

Leave what isn’t working. Try the career you can’t stop thinking about. Go back if you realize you want to.

Changing your mind isn’t failure 🙌🏽

Every one of these roles helped prepare me for the entrepreneur I am today, and I’m grateful for the opportunities, lessons, and growth each one gave me.

Give yourself permission to figure out what works for you—shamelessly. Your path doesn’t have to look good on paper to feel right in real life.

And lastly, if you’re going to burn a bridge make sure you have no intention of crossing it again 🤭🔥 by @queenofskinco

My last grid post created quite the frenzy 🫣 Where am I headed next? Vegas baby, see you at the @ibs_shows June 27-29 🤪

2024 was the last year I decided to renew my CME license here in FL. After that I decided to put the lasers, aggressive peels and invasive treatments down and dedicated my entire practice to offering @mederskincareus professional Biofacials exclusively. This built my clientele naturally with little to no marketing, protected my reputation and created a foundation for a long lasting beauty business. How? Because the results I’ve given my clients are consistent, predictable and creating REAL change in their skin. Because they can refer me and @mederskincareus with their eyes closed knowing whoever they refer won’t come back and say “the facial was awful or I didn’t see the difference in my skin”

So don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere! My former colleagues? They’re slowly but surely being converted one by one. The question now is who will be next to join our community?

Just saying the last slide is a pretty good indicator that we’re a fun crowd 😉💋 by @queenofskinco

Life has a funny way of sending you familiar situations. What will I do next?! Does this mean I’ll never perform lasers again???

Side note, should I start a @substack ? Let me know in the comments, lol.

Anyway, I feel like the last photo requires me to finish this caption with…

💉 Botox or fillers? Here’s something you’ve never been told…

Most people book wrinkle treatments on Fridays. But guess what? You actually look better earlier in the week—so your practitioner might overestimate how much you need by the weekend.

Best time? Monday mornings. Why? 👇
✔ Fresher skin
✔ Lower dose
✔ Better results
✔ Fewer regrets

This simple change can make all the difference.
