HAPPY NATIONAL ESTHETICIANS DAY! 🖤

The best thing I ever did for myself after 10 years in beauty retail was enrolling at @bocabeautyacademy and earning my esthetician license from fall 2020 to spring 2021.

People used to ask, “Sarah, why go back to school when you were already making good money in sales without a license?” The answer is simple: **integrity.** I knew social media was about to explode with skin influencers, and I wanted to be a credible authority in that space—not just another person with opinions and no education behind them. I couldn’t have been more right.

Since getting licensed in 2021, I’ve been able to build a career on my own terms because of who I am and the standards I hold myself to. And when you consider that I trained during a pandemic—when we couldn’t even practice hands-on—I hope it shows just how committed I’ve been to truly understanding skin for the past six years.

I’ve been so honored to work, train, and learn alongside some of the industry’s top providers. Thank you to every one of you for positively changing my life. 🖤

To every new esthetician or student currently in school: let your integrity lead. Let your moral compass and ethical standards guide the way you show up in this industry. That’s why I’m not afraid to make mistakes, be honest with clients about realistic outcomes, or continue learning as I grow.

Your license is important—but your character is what builds trust. ✨

QUEENOFSKINCO.COM GOES LIVE BLACK FRIDAY! by @theequeenofskin

Triggered excitement from the “compares her worth to what’s been done,” hyper-independent, keeps herself busy by working instead of processing trauma Sarah but my therapist says these moments of self reflection are huge for the growth?? Lmao 🤣 #alwaysworking #selfreflectioninrealtime by @theequeenofskin

From ages 3-12 I grew up in Wilmington Delaware that’s all I’m going to say 🤣🤭 by @theequeenofskin

A photo dump of the jobs I had before becoming an entrepreneur. Honorable mention for the year I worked at a Marine Supply company in Fort Lauderdale. That job gave me superior emailing skills 😂

You’ll notice short stays, gaps, fresh starts, and a few returns. What you won’t see is regret for figuring it out.

Leave what isn’t working. Try the career you can’t stop thinking about. Go back if you realize you want to.

Changing your mind isn’t failure 🙌🏽

Every one of these roles helped prepare me for the entrepreneur I am today, and I’m grateful for the opportunities, lessons, and growth each one gave me.

Give yourself permission to figure out what works for you—shamelessly. Your path doesn’t have to look good on paper to feel right in real life.

And lastly, if you’re going to burn a bridge make sure you have no intention of crossing it again 🤭🔥 by @theequeenofskin

A best friend, a sister and my favorite title “Auntie Sarah” 🥰

Thanks @kiyokieko and @c_cxrty_ for creating some of my favorite humans 😩😭😍

My love for yall runs deep♥️♥️♥️♥️ by @theequeenofskin

When I moved to South Florida in 2019, a family member told me I’d never make the money I wanted to make. I brushed it off, but part of me still wondered if they were right.

When I visited North Bay Village for the first time in 2022, I told myself, “I’m going to live here.” At the time, I was barely making enough to live comfortably while paying rent in Miami Gardens. I didn’t know how I’d get there. I just knew I wanted to.

At the end of 2024, I went through a breakup and felt like I had no real reason to stay in Miami. I was knee-deep in debt and ready to pack my bags and head to the West Coast to finally reunite with my family.

But one thing kept pulling at me: the promise I’d made to myself that one day I would live by the ocean in Miami.

Keeping that promise was about more than a view. It was about unlearning the limits I’d placed on myself around money and what I could accomplish on my own. It was about learning to trust myself. And the more promises I kept to myself, the more abundance seemed to find me.

I know this is a hard season for a lot of people, and I’m sharing this not to pretend the journey was easy, but to remind you that where you are right now doesn’t have to be where your story ends.

Make the vision board. Visit the place you dream of living. Practice gratitude for what you have while taking real steps toward what you want. Give yourself permission to imagine a life you don’t yet know how to reach.

That visit in 2022 wasn’t a plan. It was a promise. Today, I get to look out at the ocean and know I kept it. ✨ by @theequeenofskin

It be the people who gave you hell talking about “I hope you don’t give up!” Baby, I was never going to give up and I’m ruthless with the cutoffs of anyone who attempts to humble, distract or dismantle my confidence on the way there! Keep pushing, love you bye 💋💋💋 by @theequeenofskin

To my sister @kiyokieko 🫂

I’m doing my best to fight back tears while writing this. All I can say is thank you. Thank you for 25 years of unconditional love. Thank you for being my first friend, accomplice and inspiration. I wanted to be just like you when we were growing up. The walks to Wawa for slim jims & slushys, the roller skating around the block, the trips to Value City and Christiana Mall, getting Italian ice or ice cream in Lancaster, riding the fastest roller coaster in the world (at that time), attending Camp Manatawny…all of these memories have one thing in common, YOU 🥲 You were always so brave, even in the face of mfs attempting to dim your light I’ve always known you to find your way back to yourself and stay grounded through life’s many challenges. After I left Delaware at the age of 12 it was YOU who reconnected with me and made sure we continued our tradition of making lifelong memories. Thank you for never guilt tripping me for not always having my priorities in check when it came to family. Thank you for not criticizing the lack of effort I put in to stay connecting with you. Thank you for ALWAYS affirming who I am and how much you love and appreciate my presence in your life. The ways you’ve loved me, held me and comforted me through some of my most challenging years has shaped who I am as a woman. I am forever grateful you chose me to be your sister, auntie to our babies, godmother to Venus, and a lifelong best friend. There is nothing I want more than to see you continue to be loved, adored and given everything you deserve in this life. I promise to love you with every fiber in my body for the rest of my life, I love you so much Keiko. My God given sister, astrological sister sign, my Libra Queen, my everything. Happy 35th birthday sister, cannot wait to celebrate you in Orlando next week like the big kids we are!!! 🥳🫂💋 by @theequeenofskin
