On May 24, as part of PROMIN’, a screening of Olga Gibelinda’s film “Queens of Joy” will take place, followed by a Q&A ✨

🗓 May 24, 15:00
📍 De Koepel, Haarlem

🎟 Tickets for the premiere are available via the link in bio.
🔥 Get a full festival pass for all films for just €88! Link in bio.

“Queens of Joy” tells the story of three Ukrainian drag queens — Diva Monroe, Marlene, and Aura — who remain in Ukraine during the war. Instead of fleeing, they choose to fight: for freedom, for the visibility of the LGBTQ+ community, and for their right to be themselves.

The film moves between the stage and the reality of war — between the glamour of performances and everyday vulnerability. Marlene confronts her personal traumas, Diva Monroe rediscovers herself, and Aura searches for her place both in the army and in art.

The charity drag show they organize becomes more than just an event — it turns into a gesture of solidarity and support, a symbol of how culture can hold and unite people even in the darkest times.

This is a film about identity, courage, and the ability to find joy where it seems impossible.

🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
