Today’s repost is from @itsdanandtobi

“There’s so much we wish we could tell the young African boys we once were. That the feelings we were so afraid of weren’t something to be ashamed of. They were ours, part of our African history and they were valid.

That the love we sometimes wondered if we would ever experience was possible. That one day, love wouldn’t have to feel like something we only saw on T.V, had to hide or apologise for.

That being queer wouldn’t mean we had to lose our faith. That we could still believe, still question, still have a relationship with God, and still be fully ourselves.

And perhaps most importantly, that we didn’t have to spend our lives making ourselves smaller just to make other people comfortable.

We spent so much of our younger years worrying about whether the world would accept us.

Now we understand that sometimes, the world simply has to adjust.

Looking back, we wish we had known that we weren’t waiting to become worthy of the life we wanted. We were already worthy of it and somehow, we found our way here.” 🇳🇬❤️

She said yes. 💍❤️

Of all the blessings in my life, choosing forever with you will always be one of the greatest.

When a double rainbow blesses your proposal, you know it’s real. Today’s magical repost is from @brigetteburgmanphotography who captured this perfect moment and shared that:

“Double rainbows came out at the literal PERFECT moment for Gabi to pop the question. 🌈🌈💍

One of the most romantic, perfectly rainy proposals I’ve ever photographed. Dramatic skies, a double rainbow, and a violinist playing their favorite song?! Talk about meant-to-be timing.✨

Proof that you should NEVER let a little rain, rain on your photo parade. ☔️ Some of the most magical photos happen in the most dramatic weather.

And honestly, I don’t think we could’ve scripted a more perfect proposal if we tried. 🌈💜” by @queerafrology
