Cishet people get to bring home a date. Queer folx gotta bring a statement and answers. 😐 THAT’S LAAAAATE. I’m over the entitlement!

Ain’t no coming OUT. We welcome you IN or we just don’t. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Our love does not require a disclaimer.

For National Coming Out Day, let’s talk about the mental toll of being expected to hide, explain ourselves or make our truth easier for other people to swallow.

Our mental health deserves more than a lifetime of managing everybody else’s comfort.

We deserve peace. Pleasure. Love that gets to breathe. And I intend to have all of it!

To my queer and questioning folx who aren’t public, your identity and experiences are still valid. You don’t have to announce yourself to belong.

So many of us already see you as community. We’re here asking “You good?” because your answer truly matters to us.

You owe nobody a reveal at the expense of your safety or peace.

And to anybody still waiting for us to tone it down, get comfortable. We already are. 😜😘🌈

I've been officially Dr. White since December, but I've hoped all my adult life for this particular moment. I'm still in awe and in a place of gratitude that I literally got to study leading with love. Check my bio to read about my work or to invite me into yours. It appears all things really are possible ✨🦄🤍 Thanks for letting me share light with you all 🙂‍↕️

“A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots”. Queer and trans history is essential to understand our human history, which inevitably includes LGBTIQ+ peoples. Essential not just for queer/trans folks, but to all peoples to have that awareness regarding our presence and belonging despite the ongoing violence against us.
My new piece ‘Gatekeepers’ is an ode to that, inspired by African spiritual teachers Malidoma & Sobonfu Somé

GATEKEEPERS

“Awake Gatekeepers
Keepers of the gate, awake
Time to elevate
Take your place
Don’t let your gifts ever go to waste
Don’t ever let them steal your shine
Only go brighter and brighter
Like a warrior, higher and higher
One day we’ll fly
The truth is no liar, we rise
They through us in the fire
But we kept dancing as flames
We come back time and time again
Gatekeepers, help us remember again”
