Wow it’s that time of year... let us set out to the parks to identify birds and frolic together as the trees turn and leaves soon crunch under our shoes.

fall migration is back! join @queerbirders and @friendsof4parks for three bird walk / cleanups at franz sigel park in the bronx guided by leo wexler-mann!

9am meet at the park entrance just south of E 158th Street and Grand Concourse to bird, then 10am-12pm park clean up.

sundays on sep 13, oct 4, and nov 1!
PREEN AND CLEAN!

accessible by public transport 4/D trains at 161 St - Yankee Stadium and 2/4/5 trains at 149 St - Grand Concourse, as well as the Bx6 and Bx13 bus.

clean up supplies provided! bring water and snacks! taken in Franz Sigel Park by @queerbirders

Join NYC Queer Birders for Perrin Ireland’s book release; Poking the Squid!!

We’ll begin at Vanderbilt playground for a cheeky nature walk highlighting the wild diversity of animal sexual behavior, while also of course bird watching along the way. We’ll wrap up at Lofty Pigeon Books, where you can purchase a copy of Poking the Squid and get it signed by the Author, Perrin! All ages and experience levels are welcome! by @queerbirders

it’s PEAK migration so we are guaranteed to see warblers & shorebirds abound!!!
