I love the videos @shadowofpunkreads does to show off the new additions to her bookshelf and honestly these transitions are really hard to do so you should absolutely go give her some props on her videos (one day I will learn the ways 😂)

These are my newest additions to my bookshelf:

Two are giveaways I won and one is a book box I purchased

I won The pirate and her princess series by @allisontemplebooks (a sapphic pirate romance) thanks to the giveaway from @toshandjadesbookcorner

Then I won The sharpest radiance by @rachelnovawrites

And finally I add the first two Monsters of Mosswood books by @ami_wright_author

Go give all of them some love 💕 by @queerbookdad

Happy Release day to @nicoleparkerbooks
Sealed with a kiss is out now and you can read it on KU or get it directly on her site

This 5 ⭐️ read is filled with cuteness and spice

Olivia is a selkie and wishes to go to sea to swim and reconnect with the ocean but those damn sea lions SUCK and “guard” the beach access, she loses her locket and when she goes back to find it she finds a note attached and starts a “pen pal” note passing with a secret admirer … who could it be?

Stevie sees Olivia and can’t get her of their mind but what are they to do, they’re shy and if she found out their secret would she even be into them?

Happy release day to @lyonnerileyauthor for In the embrace of dragons a five star steamy FMM romance with tension, growth (wink wink), bonding, understanding, true love and friendship. This book made me laugh and also fan myself and if I’m being honest sometimes I had to yell at it because Vizarios the king is a stubborn pig headed dragon for a hearty chunk of the book but he really turns around and becomes a fantastic partner and lover. Ragnakor the other MMC is sweet as pie and easy to fall in love with. Nissia the FMC is a strong and smart and sassy woman who fights for herself and truly gets what she deserves a HEA by @queerbookdad

My July Reading Wrap up!

This month I read 19 books 4 of which were ARCS, I got a decent start on my Sapphic Summer reading list AND started my favourite manga series so far (thank you to my bestie Sarah @dnfyounasty for the recommendation)

My favourite read this month was Snapdragon by Kat Leyh (also a rec from Sarah, seriously she has fantastic taste)

I’m a little late to the party but I started my Sapphic summer reading list today. Thank you again to @interestdujour for hosting this great event.

My first read was Late Bloomer by Mazey Eddings and I’m giving it a 5 ⭐️ 2.5 🌶️ rating

This was such a cute read, I honestly didn’t expect the spice but I thought it was really well done.

As someone with Audhd I thought the neurodivergent rep in this was actually pretty decent there was a bit that seemed a little stereotypical but that is some peoples experience

I really liked Opal, and I loved seeing her blossom and really come into herself by the end of the book.

Definite recommendation for people who like a cozy yet chaotic, quick burn, HEA

Another super successful haul from @thebookarchive.ca if you haven’t checked them out yet you simply have to! They are a small queer, Canadian owned and run indie online (plus pop up) book store and they have everything you could want.

The only book out of these that I knew was “The beast within” the others just looked really fun honestly

Have you read any of these?

Happy release day to @mawardellauthor

I was lucky enough to be an ARC reader and loved this book!

Greg works for IT at Labyrinth Solutions and comes across Sean a new hire and feels an immediate draw to him. What ensues is a lot of sweet nights, cute gestures and probably a terabytes worth of 💦

The story has the element of insta love with on of the characters fighting that connection for a while, with a solid reasoning behind it. There is a lot of care and gentleness, no real third act breakup and an adorable HEA

If you like large, hunky, dreamboat nerds and grumpy, chubby, good boys. Then this book is definitely for you. It’s also just a fun and sweet read and I think could be a good introduction book for people who don’t read monster romance yet or are just starting in the genre.

Something for wicked Wednesday. I once again got to see one of my favourite people in the whole world @nikkitabell a week and a bit ago. In celebration of her 2nd book “To Hell with bad decisions” and book 2.5 “I hate dead people (too)”. I got to give her the now customary yearly character crochet peen and this year I got to show off my new tattoo of her character by the ultra talented @dbrooke.ink 🤩 what a magical moment that was! One day is never enough but it will have to do until next year. The, hopefully long lasting, tradition of the yearly Edmonton visits have become a genuine bright spot in my year and I can’t wait until next year 😈❤️‍🔥🍷
