During my residency at @virrreina in Bogotá,
I wanted to create something perishable,
like… MEGA FIST.
In life, we invent things to protect ourselves,
but they end up being eaten,
even by the lowest forms.

your armor baits them,
luring them with flesh.
It’s a hollow burial suit, the shell holds up the void, and is placed for a corpse.

I fed the pigeons fist crumbles.
Baking takes time, but it produces edible goods.
The pigeons will survive a few more days. Did I make them more dependent?

The crackers were flavored with 🧀parmesan, 🧄garlic, 🌶️chili and sewn with gold thread.

@voladordepiso made my idea come true with bread magic.
thanks to @___ekhi___ for helping me film.

Nos emociona anunciar a nuestra residente en ✶ PISO TÉRMICO Residency ✶

⚙️ Yelim Ki ⚙️
@quieraki

We are thrilled to announce our resident at ✶ PISO TÉRMICO Residency ✶

Yelim Ki is an artist based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. She collects discarded appliances and repurposes them into sculptural assemblages. Beyond their formal transformation, she programs lighting or vibration patterns that respond to the sonic environment. To her, physical debris is both a by-product of consumer society and a medium for the construction of technical instruments.

Her practice also extends to filmmaking, exploring the temporal threshold at which something is deemed “valid” and how its withdrawn function can be reclaimed.

Heaven Machine(2026) portrays the redundancy and obsolescence of household appliances in a comedic register. Combining a visual novel with 3D animation and 90s point-and-click gameplay, the film captures the feeling of control and the illusion of it within domestic networks and communication technology. The narrative is based on the pseudoscientific theory that a particular vibrating frequency can stimulate the human eyeball, causing hallucinations.

Missing Finger (Aptitude), 2026
Sound: Jiyoung Wi, Voice: Sam WF
moving head stage light, DMX controller, custom laser-cut gobo

The moving head light projects a virtual phone number that forwards to a dial poem. Over the phone, you hear a man mumbling that he has lost control over things. With his fingers missing, he can’t check out the payslip, turn on the switch, or hold her hand. The electricity in his house gets cut off.
