Full of gratitude for how my life has unfolded in the last couple months. Leaning into loved ones and my spiritual practices.. trusting in divine timing and that I have all the answers I need. Staying grounded.

I’m a recovering people pleaser. Welcome to my journey.

It was 7pm, feeling like I SHOULD get ready for my day tomorrow and tidy up the apt a little. But something in me just wasn’t ready to settle in for the night.

So, I asked my body and my inner child what it needed, and they said “LETS GO SKATE!” So I did!

I’m almost 38 years old, and sometimes I still don’t know what I like, or what I need, or what my opinion is.

And that’s from years of masking myself, thinking I was doing the honorable thing of showing up for and appeasing others. “Going with the flow” if you will.

Lately, I’ve been making a deliberate effort to look to myself for the answers - what do I like, what do I want to do, where do I want to go, what do I need… and not bringing anyone else into that answer except myself.

Tonight, as I skated along the ocean, I felt a freedom and joy and lightness that I haven’t felt in a long time. And THAT my friends, is coming home to yourself and THAT is living aligned with yourself.

For those who know me, you know it’s been a journey that is still in progress…

For those who don’t, Hi! My name is Meg! I am queer, non-binary and use they/them pronouns.. for now 🤗

My whole world opened up and evolved just 8 years ago, when I was still practicing my Catholic faith.

8 years ago, I found myself surrounded by folks that were happier than anyone I had met.. the common denominator? They were true to themselves and loved so authentically. Let the soul searching begin..

This past year, my understanding of romantic love and how you experience it was turned upside down through a challenging AND deeply transformative open/poly/queer relationship.

This journey is a homecoming to myself and allowing that self to be truly seen. It is a journey of my most authentic expression of what I know to be true about myself. It is a journey of self-acceptance and self-trust.

To all of my friends and family (y’all know who you are 😉), thank you. Your love and support is everything.

First solo getaway in QUITE some time. I’m at Barred Island Preserve in Stonington, ME, and it’s literally all I could have asked for this weekend.

This year, 2023, is a big one for me. Self-love, discovery, learning, growth, healing. I AM becoming more rooted in myself, more secure in myself, healing myself.

I hope you are doing the same for yourself in the ways that your unique soul needs 🤟🏻💚

It has taken me a long time to arrive here, and there are still parts of me that are coming out of hiding everyday. ALL parts of who I am and who you are deserve to be seen and celebrated and honored.
