Join us for a Greater Groove x @girlz_nelson send off party for the one and only @skydog.world as she moves to Victoria in a month. Sky Dog has been a staple of the Nelson underground scene, both on her own as a solo producer/dj and as a founder of the GIRLZ crew, who’ve been throwing sick femme and queer centric parties and workshops over the last few years. But more than all she’s contributed to building the scene and making our bodies wiggle, Sky Dog has been a solid friend, kind heart, and dance floor comrade. We’ve been honoured to know her and have her play a number of our parties throughout the years, and we are going to miss her dearly. So come out and dance your heart out to celebrate the wonderful Sky Dog. We’ll have a b4b between @_dangerjane_ @quinnbucciol @skydog.world with @mochileromusic dropping in for a track or two from time to time. After the b4b, we’ll have a short political interlude where we’ll discuss the upcoming municipal and school board elections, with a potential surprise guest or two. To close the night, we’ll have the lovely @danielaaaa.mp3 and @laelaheidtmusic serenade us. Finally, we’re raising money for @laststandwestkootenay to support Elder @elderbilljones in getting to the Kootenays for an old growth rally on Sunday and his book talk on Monday. Swipe left for the posters for all other events, parking and address, and a cute shot of the girlz and mossy at our first heart2heart event in Jan. Hope to see you out there! 😘😘😘 by @quinnbucciol

Spring is springing 💐 and the GIRLZ are girling! 💅🏻 Time to shake off the winter blues 🥶 We are back to deliver another fabulous iteration of GIRLZ on APRIL 24th, featuring the GIRLZ resident DJs (@quinnbucciol, @_dangerjane_, @skydog.world) and our talented community trailblazer @emerencz on the 1’s and 2’s 💿 Come defrost and thaw out with us as we heat it up on the dance floor after a long and icy winter! ❄️ Enjoy a rainbow of flavours of house and techno, from acid to garage, tech to trance, and everything in between. 🌈

We’ll be going from 8pm-late, so there will be something for the early birds 🦢 and the night owls! 🦉

Tickets will be available ONLY via resident advisor, click the linktree 🔗 in our bio to get yours! We will have limited early tix for $20, hop on to save $$ and tell your friends! We have been known to sell out so don’t sleep on us!! 😴

19+ with bar service, bring your ID! Location will be revealed day of event 🍸

And most importantly, GIRLZ was created to celebrate the girlz, gayz, and theyz of our community 💐 This space was SPECIFICALLY created for those folks to feel safe, supported, and liberated. We will forever have 0 tolerance 🙅🏼‍♀️ for any behaviours that make anybody uncomfortable or unsafe. While we welcome everybody and anybody to our dance floor, be mindful of who this event was created for. It is NOT the place for any creepiness 🤡 and any nonconsensual behaviours will result in permanent banning from any GIRLZ events. ❌

Please leave the ticket-aid tier for folks that need the extra help. If you would like to support your community, please consider choosing an add-on to help support the ticket aid tier lost costs. 🎟️ Thank you 💕

We can’t wait to see you on the floor again 🪩 taken in Nelson, British Columbia by @quinnbucciol

So much fun was had at the Moonflower barn where we went b2b2b2b with @mochileromusic to raise money for @brandisplace, a local grassroots organization dedicated to providing a warm safe space for vulnerable and displaced people to go to at night. They operate on donations and volunteer efforts, and we were truly proud to support this cause! This was such a perfect evening to drop some tracks that we don’t usually get to play out, from 12-minute 119bpm bangers to Michael Jackson remixes! Thank you so much to @thegreatergroove for having us out, stay tuned for more GIRLZ magic in the works!! 🪄🌹 by @quinnbucciol

There’s something oh so special about being in a space where we can connect, share, and move through + with our emotions. The dance floor is truly a magical place, allowing for authentic expression and the embodiment of joy as activism. We recognize what a privilege it is to be here, held in a community that amplifies diversity, celebrates one another, and stewards the container of safer spaces. We deeply cherish this.
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
A huge thanks to our incredible DJs, your musical curation was attuned perfectly to the flow of the night.
Deep appreciation for our artists and performers. Your creativity and passion added that JUICY sumthin spesh to the night. Each performance, piece of art, and song shared inspired, dazzled, and brought the night to life. Y’all lit the place up and we are so damn grateful that you chose to share your creations with us.

Our team and volunteers, these nights wouldn’t happen without you. Y’all helped build the magic, kept the folks on the dance floor safe, supported with love and compassion, and provided the backbone of why we can do what we do.
ᵗᑋᵃᐢᵏ ᵞᵒᵘ ♡

A year of planning.
Months of creation.
Weeks of putting it together.
Days of set up and tear down.
Hundreds of hours, blood [litterally], and sweat poured into making it happen.

But damn, fam. It is always worth it. For our freaks, our oddballs, our outcasts, our normies, our weirdos, our friends, our family. Y’all are why we do what we do and it is an honour to create these spaces for you to shine. Thank you for another incredible year. Thank you for supporting us, our visions, and our offerings.

Thank you for being here, thank you for being you. The world needs more of it.

Cheers to another fab season and to many more incredible nights shared with you.

Our first event of 2026 is coming in hot on Jan 9th! The Girlz @skydog.world @quinnbucciol @_dangerjane_ will be coming over to the barn and will be doing a lil b2b2b2b session with @mochileromusic from 6-10, followed by @sweet_pea_steve closing with some acoustic. @girlz_nelson have been creating safe dance spaces for self expression and diversity, so give them a follow to keep up on their events. We’ll be raising money for @brandisplace , Nelson’s only 24/7 warming shelter on the days above -10 degrees, which means it is a vital part of harm reduction in our community for those needing a warm place to stay in these cold winter months. They are currently looking for volunteers and donations, so anything you can spare for this event is much appreciated. Please swipe left to find our address and parking instructions and to review the community agreements. We’ve switched up the cell phone policy because we’ve been smashing the vibe and feel like a consensual photo here or there is nice to look back on. Anyway, hope to see you on Friday. 💕 by @quinnbucciol

Come celebrate New Year’s Eve with us, babe.

☁️🎀WELCOME TO DOSE.’S HOUSE OF DELULU🎀☁️

‧₊˚Get on the Delulu train, angel, we’re makin’ magic happen and you’re the Main Star of the show [obviiii]. 😇˚₊‧

Delusion: It’s like prancing through a sparkly wonderland where everything glitters with fab nonsense. Slip on those oversized rose-tinted glasses, babe, because YOU are a shiny STAR in the universe, surrounded by frivolous Unicorns and plush Kandi coated clouds. Your Main Character energy is HOT!!! 💅🏾 Why bother being boring when you can float on marshmallow rainbows, sipping enchanted potions that turn you into a shimmering mermaid? 🫧💗✨ Sure, reality tries to peek in with its drab shades, but we shoo it away with our “positive vibes only” attitude. In this dazzling world of delusion, the mundane vanishes, and life sparkles like a giant disco ball at a cosmic party. So, let’s celebrate in our dreamy bubble of wonder, darling... Because, here, our potential is limitless and our path forward is lined with good intentions!
