Join us for a Greater Groove x @girlz_nelson send off party for the one and only @skydog.world as she moves to Victoria in a month. Sky Dog has been a staple of the Nelson underground scene, both on her own as a solo producer/dj and as a founder of the GIRLZ crew, who’ve been throwing sick femme and queer centric parties and workshops over the last few years. But more than all she’s contributed to building the scene and making our bodies wiggle, Sky Dog has been a solid friend, kind heart, and dance floor comrade. We’ve been honoured to know her and have her play a number of our parties throughout the years, and we are going to miss her dearly. So come out and dance your heart out to celebrate the wonderful Sky Dog. We’ll have a b4b between @_dangerjane_ @quinnbucciol @skydog.world with @mochileromusic dropping in for a track or two from time to time. After the b4b, we’ll have a short political interlude where we’ll discuss the upcoming municipal and school board elections, with a potential surprise guest or two. To close the night, we’ll have the lovely @danielaaaa.mp3 and @laelaheidtmusic serenade us. Finally, we’re raising money for @laststandwestkootenay to support Elder @elderbilljones in getting to the Kootenays for an old growth rally on Sunday and his book talk on Monday. Swipe left for the posters for all other events, parking and address, and a cute shot of the girlz and mossy at our first heart2heart event in Jan. Hope to see you out there! 😘😘😘

This is what we mean when we say Re-Union.
🌈🫰🏼🪩
Year five, and babes this might have been the best, juiciest, and most magical one yet! Every year it just keeps getting better and better.

Re-Union has always been more than a Festival, it’s a space intentionally built to amplify queer joy, underground sound, and community care. Curated by FLINTA+ forward and queer artists, this event is made for you to fully embrace yourself and shine unapologetically.

And hunnies, this year’s lineup carried that intention beautifully. The diversity of DJs reflected the core vision: uplifting marginalized voices, platforming women and gender expansive artists, and challenging industry norms with every set. 24HRs of top shelf music that definitely had us all shakin ass.

Re-Union isn’t just about the music. From world class performance art and spicy showcases, to interactive installations and workshops that nourish + educate, every layer of the weekend is thoughtfully designed to invite participation, reflection, and connection. This is a dynamic ecosystem of delicious experiences.

As a queer-centered space, Re-Union has always been about visibility, safety, and celebration, not as an afterthought, but as the foundation. To see that energy held, respected, and returned across every part of the weekend meant everything.

However, what really makes this such an incredible experience is you, the people. The ones who show up with openness, respect, and care for each other. The ones who dance hard, listen deeply, share space generously, and help shape the weekend into something extraordinary.
Y’all are the real headliners. We are so grateful for each one of you being a part of Re-Union.

To everyone who shared their energy, their art, and their presence…thank you.
Thank you for trusting us and for trusting each other. That trust is what makes this event so dang special.

Five years in, and this still feels like a love letter to community.

We cannot wait to reunite with you May Long 2027.

With love,
Xo Re-Union

Thank you to everyone who came out to our DJ workshop series in April. The passion and curiosity from everyone that attended was so inspiring, and we hope to keep creating more events to help support you on your DJ journeys 💕💿

We’re keeping it going with an Open Decks Night at the @nelsonlegion51 on May 29 from 7 to 10 PM. All skill levels are welcome. Practicing in front of people is one of the best ways to grow your confidence as a DJ, and this will be a very casual, low pressure space to play on club standard CDJs in front of friends and community.

Spots are limited, so sign up through the Google form in our link in bio ✨

Thank you to @taranaspantsonfire for taking these pics! 📸
