6 ☀️ Hey Baby Boy. Idk if i got any poetry for you tonight. Papas tired from the production. Today I felt a lot of emotions and I wasn’t aware of where all of them were coming from. It was a blessing to see your face on the phone. You were talking about a war in Minnesota (?) and then we sang Happy Birthday together and I haven’t heard your voice sound so musical before— like sometimes you’re shy to sing but today you let it flow. Your mom and I split the cost of you to attend a climbing camp this summer. Is sharing pragmatic details of the day interesting (future) ? 6-years-ago today you arrived at 3:16pm For God loved the world . . .eternal life i remember thinking off rip you looked like my grandfather the colors of spring were yellow and purple flowers we bathed you in a river when you were 6-days-old and you used to think my nose was where milk came from. . . eish okay I caught my train of thought. I’ve been saying it a lot lately to others but I wanted to say it to you. Thank you for being a teacher to me. You helped me root down in place but moreover in myself and structure my life and begin to flourish. You forced me to begin to build a foundation and it’s that foundation that I want to continue to build for you. Rooted in community and authentic connection to people and the natural world — walking with Faith even when we cannot see. TRUSTING deeply what we feel inside and following it. I believe intuition is the highest form of intelligence. Ehhh so it’s not like a top down thing this Father-Son. It’s mutual learning. Today I was chatting with a client and it arose like ‘the highest form of love I can show you is embodying my full potential in all forms.’ Cuz you know how kids can see all things — ya I wanna be that Human who walks what he talks. Who does what he says. Who is who he says he is. That’s part of the foundation I wanna build for you. Embodiment. Cuz when we’re connected deeply with ourselves all the beauty of this world is available and magnetically attracted. Man Im excited for the summer we are about to share ! Ehhh but you gotta finish yo Kindergarten 1st Happy Birthday Boo ! I Love You Eternally ❤️‍🔥☮️🦅🙏🏼 by @ra_makepeace

‘We are in America, not Afghanistan’ ICE : INSIDE COLFAX EAST WHEN : November 19, 20, 21 at 7pm TIX LINK IN BIO The trauma of wars fought in foreign lands comes home. In Aurora, Afghans who fought alongside Americans in the Afghan War are neighbors after many of them came to the US as refugees fleeing the Taliban who retook control of the country in 2021. In scene 5 + 6 of ICE : INSIDE COLFAX EAST, a wartime memory is recounted of a violent encounter during the war with Father Joe (played by @ra_makepeace), his Afghan interpreter Fayyaz (played by @mylesjuniel) and a shopkeeper (played by Abraham Elahmadi). This memory is recounted alongside a real time episode of #ptsd in which older Fayyaz (played by @munozhektor) awakens in a dream to imagined sounds of gunfire outside his window. His daughter Fatima (played by @taisaloran) seeks to comfort him and remind him it is just a dream as she has done so many nights. I.C.E. tells the story of the people of East Colfax. A true melting pot of the world. The story of so many of the world’s events comes home here through the hearts and minds and loved experience of the residents of East Colfax. Winter is coming. Life force goes inward to regenerate for the Spring in this time ! And WE are carry A LIGHT into the darkening days of something that IS unifying A unifying message. A unifying act. An experiment. A practice. A Real Story about Real Humans Happening Now. Can we recreate the magic of this potent story that has had 11-great shows over 1.5 years ? Can we do it again ? Of course 💯 Perfection is not built on foundations of perfection. Where we choose to take our stand is often on ground that is imperfect, messy, scary, filled with life’s transitions and hard lessons ! On this imperfect ground we CHOOSE to stand and tell stories that build foundations of connection and understanding and abundance ! Ode to social experiments of #naturalbuilding #cob and living in community on land To Red Woods and burned out forest regenerating from a wildfire To scorched earth paths of teachings and lessons that burn one to the core To ‘Burro’ work and the honesty of hard labor over time cuz nothing gets done unless you do it To the June California sun on a sandstone mountaintop and just enough water to keep one wetted To Yerba Mate and other herbs and elixirs and nights around campfire with others shootin’ the sh#^ cuz that’s my favorite place to be To those Santa Cruz waves that be feelin’ like they tryna kill you #rawpower I was blessed with the opportunity to be an instrumental part of 2-cob builds in ‘26. In the 2nd, I was blessed with the opportunity to be paid as an assistant. I’m proud of that achievement and all its costs too. This vlog is chronological takes mainly focused on me. The editing is basic. The process was therapeutic. 1. First and foremost, I take responsibility for the people and places and thus lessons I place myself around and work to see through the trees what is mine and own it. And for what is not mine, I work to let it go and forgive 2. To walk my word in the name of something much higher than what is apparent and obvious is my intention. 3. It’s about the WORK = Presence. The STORY of the WORK comes after. May that story serve to bring one closer to presence. 4. I know the toughest passages are training, if we choose. Where I failed, I have sought to learn. The training is forever and always to maintain an Open, Feeling, Courageous and Forgiving Heart. 5. I am grateful for all my teachers. Too often, I have lost energy to other’s expectations instead of staying focused and rooted from within. It’s that root that I wish to continue to cultivate /// I have never been held and accepted so thoroughly by community in my life — through such intensity. It’s ironic. Eish don’t make sense sometimes. Choose to learn. Thank you Cob ! I’m proud of how I grew in skill across rock work, carpentry, coordination and design and shiiii human dynamics ❤️‍🔥 Thank You, I’m sorry, plz forgive me, I Love You To more cob ✨ by @ra_makepeace

📸 @gunn7738 // From a refugee camp in Greece in ‘16 where we worked together to your front porch in Tahoe with my 6-yr-old in ‘26, and all that has been in-between, SO to my friend Rick Gunn for always being down for a new adventure! He most literally cycled around the entire Earth in 2007+ (took years) with his own power, including through the country of Iran #soulcycler We most literally ran up some intense mountains back in ‘17 and road down some of the best mountain biking trails in the world too. . . and in reviewing the imagistic remnants of the moments we shared, I came across the thousands of images of others you have captured in their moment and it became ever more clear that you have been weaving community and uplifting so many all over the world for a LONG time ! And that YOU ARE the type of human I want my son to know and be woven into community with. I am honored and humbled to have had the spontaneous opportunity to bring ☀️ to connect with you and Tracy this past July. To More adventure and continuing to walk the path of Love ! Much Love Brother Rick 🦅 #brotherhood #peacefulwarrior #infinitelove #goodmen by @ra_makepeace
