🐾 Waikiki’s Doggy Day Out: What We Learned! 🐾

Waikiki was the biggest ham and an absolute total goofball! She loved EVERYONE she met and was such a sweetheart. ❤️
🦴 Loved ALL the treats
🧡 Knows how to sit and LOVES showing off her sit
🥰 Wanted all the love and attention
🤗 Loved being handled all over
🔊 Curious about the world, although loud sounds were a little scary for her
Waikiki is a lovable potato. 🥔❤️ A middle-aged, laid-back potato who would be perfectly happy lounging on the couch with her person. #caccdogs taken in Chicago Animal Care and Control by @raaaahbone

These are the GOOD DAYS! ❤️
So many pups got extra TLC from my friends, and they loved every minute of it. Rabbit and Coachella were especially lucky and got some extra love and time outside.
A huge thank you to @safehumanechicago for hosting this wonderful Friends & Families event.

The shelter is FULL, and every one of these dogs deserves a place to call home or even a temporary foster home while they wait for their forever family. 🐾

You won’t believe what happened to me tonight at CACC…

I finished my volunteer shift and was loading up my car when I heard a loud meow. I looked everywhere, nothing. Figured the cat ran off since it went quiet.
Fast forward: I get home, pull into my garage, and hear a VERY distressed meow… the SAME one. Instant panic.
I pop my hood and there she is, a tiny, terrified, sweet little kitty hiding inside my car 😭

Meet Knight Rider 🐾

Thankfully she’s okay (still can’t believe she made it through that ride 💔). After everything she just went through, there was no way I could bring her back to the shelter.

My amazing neighbor took her in for the night, and now we’re on a mission to find her forever home
She’s incredibly friendly, about 6 months old, and clearly was someone’s cat at some point.

If you or someone you know is looking for the sweetest little survivor, please reach out ❤️

Let’s get Knight Rider the happy ending she deserves. by @raaaahbone

Meet this sweet little thang! No name yet, but rescued already. She loved her outside time and is a perfect example of the amazing mix of breeds at animal control. 💛 taken in Chicago Animal Care and Control by @raaaahbone

Grissini is such a special handsome boy. He loves hanging out with his human and happily leans in for all the pets. He’s got a big heart and big feelings, sometimes he gets so excited he has a hard time containing himself. He just loves with his whole heart.
Come meet this hunk. 🤎

Arabesque is the cutest little party gal! We had an absolute ball in the yard, she definitely tired me out. Toys galore, hops for days, and she’s got some serious height to her game.
She’s clearly the last one to leave the party, my kinda lady.
Come meet this fun-loving gal. 🖤🤍

Martina is such a special girl. When she first came in, she was so skinny, struggling with some leg and paw issues, scared, sick and filthy. She got a bath to help bring back her glow. And she weighed heavy on my mind.
I hadn’t seen her in a couple of weeks, and our reunion was the best surprise. She’s filled out beautifully, walking so well, and bursting with energy. We spent some extra time together celebrating her progress and showing off what an absolute resilient beauty she is.
Come check out this special bunny 🐰 and special shamrock ☘️.

Emory is an absolute party boy! We had a blast in the yard. He couldn’t get enough of the squeaky toys, bouncing from one to the next like it was his full-time job. In between all the fun, he snuck in plenty of kisses and soaked up all the pets during his breaks.
Come meet this happy hunk.🖤
