POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My graphic novel series Mischief & Mayhem is officially being developed as an animated feature film as part of a three-picture deal with
@harpercollinsproductions, @vivapictures, and @cantilever.media ✨

As an award-winning Filipino-American author & illustrator, seeing a story that began as sketches in my notebook make its way to the big screen is something I never imagined growing up.

Huge thanks to Caroline Fraser and the team at HarperCollins Productions for believing in this world and these characters.

Deep gratitude to my amazing agent Andrea Cascardi and the team at @transatlantic_agency for guiding this project every step of the way.

So thankful to my incredible editor Mabel Hsu (@hellomabel) for giving Mischief & Mayhem a chance and helping shape it into what it is today.

And heartfelt thanks to Jodell Sadler and Jill Corcoran for their early support and encouragement when this project was just beginning ❤️

I’m also deeply grateful to the entire kidlit community —
@scbwi @nv_scbwi @storyteller_academy @kidlitgn @kidscomicsunite @childrensbookacademy @kidlit411 —
as well as friends and family who’ve helped me grow as an author every step of the way.
And a special thank you to the teachers, libraries, local institutions and supporters who’ve lifted my work and my voice: @cityofnlv @reviewjournal @cityoflasvegas @lvccld @hendersonlibraries 🙏
So grateful to be working with partners who share the same excitement for telling stories that bring joy, celebrate culture, and inspire literacy for readers everywhere.

Hopefully I didn’t forget anyone… there’s too many to mention! Friends, families and those who supported me behind the scenes. I appreciate all of you!

From page to screen… here we go 🎬✨

I made a hardcover of Petro and The Lost Dog. It took about 1 month to get 3 copies made. What do you think? Should we make this available? You can get the softcover now on Amazon! #kidlit #books #bookstagram #author #illustrator #graphicnovels #comics by @rabbleboy

In Vivian McInerny’s playful debut, readers will fall in love with wonder again as Zia imagines what might happen if the hole in her pocket became big enough to fall right through. The Whole Hole Story is perfect for readers looking for a fresh take on the classic Harold and the Purple Crayon.

Just a mental health morning working on my art. Some of you make not know but after I quit photography I started working on children’s books and graphic novels. Both books and photography are my ways of expression and staying sane in this wild world. I’m just tapping to my inner childhood every time I get to create and share a little bit of magic through art. taken in Las Vegas, Nevada by @rabbleboy

🎉 As we wrap up AANHPI heritage month, we’re proud to spotlight local, award-winning literacy author and illustrator @rabbleboy.

✨ "Mischief and Mayhem was inspired by the idea that kids don't have to be perfect—or even superheroes—to make a difference. Through humor, friendship, and plenty of chaos, I wanted to create a story that celebrates creativity, resilience, and finding your place in the world." - Ken Lamug
