😭😡EMOTIONS🥺😱
LET’S TALK ABOUT THEM!

✨So many of us were told we were wrong for expressing emotions. I am here to remind you emotions are beautiful & part of this human experience.

🙌🏻Emotions are just ENERGY IN MOTION💃
& they want to move through you & be expressed💃

Feel those emotions🥺😡🤬😩😭create space to allow them to be expressed. So much of the time when you’re feeling tired, withdrawn, feeling irritable are signs from your body you’re suppressing emotions.

A lot of times when you’re…
Tired (even though you’re getting good rest) you’re suppressing sadness 😭
Irritable you’re suppressing anger🤬
Withdrawn/isolated you’re suppressing shame 😞

🔥It takes a lot of ENERGY to hold emotions in, hence why so many people feel tired or getting sick all the time.

🤔Create space to ask yourself, what am I feeling right now? What am I not allowing myself to feel? How can I express this in a healthy safe way? And allow those emotions to come up.

‼️When we suppress our emotions then that energy becomes stuck in the body. This leads to dis- ease (sickness) which over time leads to disease.

That’s why so many people are sick because they shove their emotions down & don’t express them. They don’t want to feel because they were shammed for expressing emotions or because it’s hard to feel negative emotions-Trust me the quicker you are able to express your emotions- the better you will feel.

When you get curious about why you are feeling a certain way & then release those emotions in a healthy way, on the other side of that is lightness & then you have the energy to do the things in your life you want to do.

Who can relate? Comment below✨

Loving yourself isn’t just a feeling.
It’s a practice.
It’s setting loving limits on the parts of you that are addicted to pain, the ones that keep pulling you back into old patterns from childhood.

Sometimes it’s not just your partner you need to set limits with—it’s your own inner critic.
The voice that says “You’re not lovable.”
The part of you that scans for proof that you’re not good enough.
The part that repeats your childhood pain because it’s familiar.

Healing means interrupting the cycle—whether it’s in your relationships or within your own mind.
It means asking:
Is this voice helping me grow? Or is it keeping me stuck in a loop of self-rejection?

You get to choose again.
You get to speak to yourself differently.
You get to collect new data.

Important: This post does not apply if you’re in a toxic or abusive relationship where your safety and self-worth are constantly being eroded.
Your nervous system isn’t being dramatic. It’s being wise. taken in Austin, Texas by @rachelcuthbert

Ever spill a drink or make a tiny mistake…
and immediately go into I’m such an idiot mode?

Yeah. That’s not just you being dramatic.
That’s your nervous system reliving an old wound.

If you were raised in a home where mistakes led to shame, yelling, or punishment…
your body learned that messing up = danger.
So now when something small goes wrong, your system floods with panic and self-blame.

But here’s the truth:
Making a mistake doesn’t mean you’re stupid.
It means you’re human.

And every time you pause and speak to yourself with gentleness instead of shame?
You’re not just being “nice” to yourself.
You’re literally rewiring your nervous system.
You’re reparenting the part of you that still thinks love has to be earned through perfection.

You get to do this differently now.
With grace. With compassion. With power.

Comment the word heal to join my free masterclass on healing your inner child and breaking free from these old patterns—for good.

When someone pulls away and your chest tightens, your brain starts spinning, and your first instinct is to fix it or prove your worth—
that’s not you being dramatic.
That’s your nervous system remembering what it felt like to be left.

This is anxious attachment.
This is your inner child trying to earn love by staying emotionally attuned, endlessly available, and one step ahead of disconnection.

And I get it—pulling away feels like danger when love never felt secure.
So instead of sitting with the discomfort, you start:
— Overanalyzing
— Over-functioning
— Rescuing
— Trying to “be better” so they’ll stay

But here’s the truth:
Love isn’t earned by over-functioning.
It isn’t kept by self-abandoning.
And it isn’t real if it costs you your peace.

You can unlearn this pattern.
You can regulate your nervous system.
And you can feel safe in love without losing yourself.

Comment “HEAL” below
and I’ll invite you to my free masterclass on healing insecure attachment, rewiring your abandonment wound, and learning how to create safety and security in yourself first.

Let’s break the cycle—so you can stop chasing connection and start receiving it.

When they don’t text back, and your whole body goes into panic mode—
that’s not you being “too much.”
That’s your abandonment wound and anxious attachment flaring up.

It’s not just about the text.
It’s about what silence represents to your nervous system:
disconnection, rejection, the loss of love.

So you spiral. You overthink. You overfunction.
Because deep down, you’re afraid:
“If I don’t stay close enough, they’ll leave.”

But here’s the truth:
You didn’t choose this pattern.
Your body did—when love was inconsistent, and closeness was something you had to earn.

The good news?
This is a learned pattern.
And what was learned, can be unlearned.

You can heal your abandonment wound.
You can regulate your nervous system.
And you can create the kind of relationship with yourself that makes you feel safe, loved, and grounded—no matter who texts back.

Comment “HEAL” below
and I’ll personally invite you to a FREE Masterclass on how to break this cycle and build secure connection from the inside out.

You deserve a love that doesn’t require chasing.
Let’s begin with you.

To my people pleasers…
If you’re exhausted from saying yes when you mean no…
If you feel anxious any time someone’s even slightly disappointed in you…
If you’re constantly overextending yourself just to “keep the peace”…
That’s not you being kind.
That’s your nervous system trying to survive.

People-pleasing is not a personality trait.
It’s the fawn response. A trauma response.
A pattern you learned early on to stay connected, safe, and loved.

Especially if…
✨ You were praised for being “easy” or “good.”
✨ You were punished, shamed, or ignored when you had needs.
✨ Your boundaries weren’t honored.
✨ You believed love had to be earned by being helpful, agreeable, or low-maintenance.

So what do you do now?

1. Start noticing your inner urgency.
If you feel panic at the idea of saying no or disappointing someone—that’s not a sign you’re doing something wrong. That’s a scared younger part trying to keep you safe.

2. Reassure your system.
“I’m safe to have needs. I don’t have to perform to be loved. I can say no and still belong.”

3. Practice tiny boundaries.
You don’t have to start with big confrontations. Try:
— “Let me get back to you.”
— “That actually doesn’t work for me.”
— Saying no without overexplaining.

4. Expect discomfort—but not danger.
You’re not doing it wrong if it feels scary. You’re doing something new.

5. You have unprocessed anger- you probably didn’t see anger expressed in a healthy way so you didn’t learn how to actually feel & release it. Start doing some anger release practices to have better boundaries. Anger lets us know where our boundaries are.

The truth?
Every time you abandon yourself to avoid being abandoned by others,
you reinforce the idea that love and safety require losing yourself in the process

But they don’t.
Boundaries are how you come home to yourself.

You ready to stop abandoning you?

👇 Tell me below: What’s one small boundary you could practice this week?

We confuse comfort with healing all the time.

Yes—bubble baths, painting, and Disney movies can connect you to your inner child. That’s beautiful. But healing isn’t just about feeling good. It’s about showing up when it’s hard.

Healing your inner child means learning to

✨guide yourself when you’re spinning out.
It means

✨nurturing yourself when you’re hurting—instead of numbing out.

And it means setting ✨loving limits with the parts of you that just want to scroll, avoid, or chase validation.

That’s reparenting.

That’s the real work.

Soft heart. Strong boundaries. Honest self-reflection.

And a deep commitment to no longer abandoning yourself.

This is what it really means to have a loving & intimate relationship with your inner child

You ready?

We all do it- we all at some point while our friend or partner is speaking to us - we try to get them out of their hurt, their pain, their sadness & we try to give them the silver lining or spray them with some spritz of positivity- but this is actually not what drives connection- what FUELS connection is empathy.

Empathy (from Teresa Wiseman- nursing scholar who studied empathy -noticed 4 qualities) perspective taking from a nonjudgmental place, being able to notice someone emotion in other people & then communicating that.

This is the way we heal- through connection- being able to be seen by our loved ones. To feel like someone sees you & understands you is what INTIMACY IS!

So when you’re partner or friend is coming to you in their chapter of grief or sadness or pain- try empathy on. Try to find the place within yourself that you’ve experienced this same emotion. Allow yourself to be with them there. This requires vulnerability. It’s a practice especially when you haven’t been intimate with yourself or able to sit with your own emotions-

Also REMEMBER- don’t go to the shoe store for milk. Meaning people can only meet you in the places that they meet themselves. So if you’re going to someone who doesn’t have a deep, honest relationship with themselves & their own emotions- how the fuck do you expect them to be able to be with you in yours? Choose who you open up to wisely.

Also we get to ask our friend or partner in the conversation to be there for us in a certain way. We can ask them- hey for this conversation I’m looking for you to just hold space, or am I able to just vent for 5 minutes about what happened? We get to communicate our expectations. All of this is a practice ❤️
