Checked out @dollyslifeofmanycolors museum this afternoon! It was incredible, y’all.

Me with a coat of many colors guitar at the @dollyparton @songtellerhotel just before we headed up to the museum.

Nashville ❤️

Dolly and Carl 💕

Dolly’s handwritten lyrics to one of my favorite songs of hers - “Do I Ever Cross Your Mind.”

An exhibit of Dolly’s tv career and appearances.

A fun Dolly stage.

Dolly’s Honorary Muppet Award from 1986. 🐸 🐷

A jukebox of some of Dolly’s hits - I had to play “Do I Ever Cross Your Mind.”

Even the floor sparkled! ✨

A Dolly tour bus with some of her rhinestoned instruments.

A wall of all of her albums - seven decades worth!

An incredible costume from a performance of “World on Fire,” from her amazing album “Rockstar.”

Tour bus - love the pink chair!

An exhibit dedicated to @imaginationlibrary. Loved the lights - some of them look like book butterflies! 📚🦋

@reba speaking at Dolly’s Kennedy Center Honors Ceremony in 2006.

An entire room was dedicated to her numerous awards and accolades. And seriously if you haven’t checked out “Rockstar” - you should. It’s incredible!

More awards and accolades.

I had to buy these sunglasses from her gift shop. Like, HAD to. They go nicely with my @picksyrva earrings from @dagnabit.moore (thank you, @stark_raven 💜)! We had lunch at @blacktap and it was also amazing. taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @rachelmaclaughs

I brought these babies home a year ago today, my latest fosters for @pawsternash. I had spent the previous two-and-a-half years fostering various sweet kitties (and a couple sweet doggies) and had no intentions of these two being any different.

About five months in, they became available for adoption. Tuesday (gray) was 18 and her bonded lil brother Igor was 4. There was some interest, and they even went off to a potential adopter. But as fate would have it, they ended up back with me. And so, after some thought I decided they were already in their forever home.

They became officially mine on March 3. Less than two weeks later, we’d all get on the road to go back home and help prepare the house for dad to return from the hospital. And, well…unfortunately they never got to meet dad in person (although they did several times over FaceTime in the months prior).

They got to meet my entire family, some of my friends back home, and they kept us smiling during some hard days.

I’m so glad they’re mine! All pictures by me; the first three are recent, the remaining are from their first several months when they were my fosters. taken in Goodlettsville, Tennessee by @rachelmaclaughs
